Over The Top Retrievers

I bought a pup from Scott and Beth’s kennel five years ago and never regretted it since. It was my first dog ever and they both made it very easy for me. They take care of their litters SUPER well. They make sure pups go to the right homes! When you’re stuck as a dog owner…they’re very informational and supportive to help out. Such a friendly couple! With the pup I bought from Scott and Beth, I have done hunt tests and waterfowl hunts with him. Scott would invite me a lot of times to train and I’ve picked up a lot of great advice from him. He’s one of the most honest pro trainers around in MN. My dog is now a Master Hunter in AKC and have retrieved several ducks for me. Again, it was my first dog ever! So…if you’re going to decide on a pup or dog training…go OverTheTop!

We purchased a started dog from Over the Top Retrievers and then sent him down to Texas for the winter for hand signals. We have been nothing but impressed with Scott and Beth. Our dog has unbelievable bird drive and does an excellent job retrieving. Scott takes the time to go over all the training commands with you and is available if you have follow up questions or concerns. Beth provided us with such great detailed vet records and even a puppy picture of our sweet Tuna. She has also been available and responds quickly with any questions as she is so knowledgeable. Overall I couldn't say enough good things about our experience and would recommend them to anyone!

Scott and Beth did a amazing job at training my lab. They treated her like she was part of their family. They above and beyond working with her because at 6months old she didn’t care to go into the water and after a month she was hitting the water with force trying to get to the bumpers as fast as possible and from there the work they did with my lab was unbelievable. In the end, it was well worth all the training and money having Scott and Beth at Over the top Retrivers train my lab! I highly recommend them.

Scott and Beth are customers of mine and have been for years. I watched how Scott had trained these dogs for years, and that is why I decided to get my dog from them and have them train her.
