Gina and Evie are some of the most genuine and kind people! They’re very talented with dogs, especially working breeds and managing challenging behaviors. I have two Malinois that love them both! I’ve trained and boarded my dogs with them, and they are so helpful and understanding, even on the few occasions when an unexpected emergency came up and I boarded them on short notice. All was lost for our boy Rex! We got him as an ESA after my first born son died during a mistake my medical team made at the time of birth and delivery. The experience was very traumatizing as it almost cost me my life as well. Wallowing in shame, I was at the point where I had no motivation or drive to do anything at all - so my husband thought us getting a puppy would be a good distraction. A distraction he was! Not sure we were ready for all that came with a working line German Shepard - he took us through there lol. To add to the madness, I became pregnant again, so caring for Rex got even more difficult by the day. We were both getting bigger at the same time, so the leash pulling and rough housing was getting out of control and Rex spent a lot of time in his kennel as a result. I had so much anxiety my second pregnancy I still needed my Rex for redirection of that fear. After I gave birth the second time, someone at work recommended Gina - so I told my husband and we took a chance, and we’re so glad we did! We put Rex in a 30-day board & train and he came back completely transformed into a dog with structure and discipline. I will say, immediately upon his return home he tried to go back to some of his old ways but Gina & Evie came over to our house and reminded us on how we need to set the tone and our lives have been different ever since. I appreciate how they stress that WE needed to also change for Rex. Before - Rex was a back yard dog, he was super reactive to other dogs and we couldn’t take him anywhere and now we can proudly take our boy for family walks (people complement him nearly everyday, when before they use to run the other way!) , work outside in our garage with him OFF LEASH, and even have him around our 1 year old (which is really saying a lot because Rex use to treat him like he was invisible when he was around which is dangerous for a active baby learning to crawl and walk) - I honestly never thought I’d see this day. Gina was our last effort before rehoming Rex and now we feel guilty for even having the thought of doing so. My husband and I use to argue about whose fault it was for Rex being a Tasmanian devil but now we argue about who he favors more 😂 it really is such a good feeling. Rex makes us so proud each & everyday thanks to Gina & Hyson - his dedicated trainers. I could honestly go on and on giving compliments about the PWK9 team, but the review is already long enough. I first took my dog to Gina about 7 years ago for behavior modification when he was about a year old. Gina graciously helped us through my dog's reactive behaviors and taught me how to better understand him. My dog had Parvo as a puppy and unfortunately became very reactive towards people and other dogs afterwards. Gina is extremely knowledgeable and she was very kind and patient with me and my pup. She truly has a way with dogs and can tell you everything just from their body language. I have recommended her to friends and family, and I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a high quality trainer in the area. I recently went out of town for 4 days and was so thankful to board my dog with Gina because I was confident he would be well taken care of which allowed me to enjoy my vacation. Gina is the only person I trust with my dog and we are so grateful to be working with PacwestK9!
