Palmetto State K9 Training

I adopted a very reactive large dog who wasn't properly socialized, I knew training would be difficult but I underestimated just how much. When I found PSK9 I was nervous but they were super helpful. It was important for me to be a part of the training process. Not only have I been able to maintain his training nearly a year later, but I've been able to teach him new commands because PSK9 gave me the skills to be able to so. My dog well behaved, confident, and happy now. I highly recommend PSK9.

We have a 1.5yr old GSD who needed to dial in on quite a few things (basic commands, leash work, etc.), but our biggest concern was his reactivity to our cat, but especially to other dogs. He is incredibly social and such a sweet boy at home, but we ran into issues whenever taking him on walks or anywhere out in public; he would even go crazy if we were just sitting in the car if there was a dog in sight. Because we rescued him at 9 months old with no known interaction with other animals, and this reactivity got worse as time went on, we thought we were at a loss and that this would be his life – having to stay home whenever we went out. After lots of research and an awesome phone call consultation with Katelynn, we decided to go for it and book the 2 week board-and-train with Emily. It was nerve wracking and caused a bit of anxiety to send our baby away, but the daily updates with pictures and videos from Emily put us at ease, and we knew she was just a call or text away if we had any concerns/questions about the updates. Every update was mind-blowing, but when I tell y’all my jaw DROPPED when we got an update showing him interacting with other dogs in less than a week… I read that update multiple times and had to show everyone I know! It was such a relief to know Diesel just needed some confidence boosting and training to help him navigate being around other dogs. The day we dropped him off vs the day we picked him up was a night and day difference. We have a long road ahead of us, but now, we are actually excited to continue this training at home with the very strong building blocks Emily built for us. We are even more excited to take this structure outside of our home and bring Diesel on adventures with us with confidence because of this training. If you’re considering booking, DO IT – it is a lot of money, but 1000% an investment. I highly recommend PSK9, and cannot thank them enough!!
