Hire them now. Full stop. Mel and his trainers are absolutely amazing dog trainers who truly understand the psychology of dogs and how turn any dog into a well-behaved and happy pup. We have used them twice, first a decade ago with our older dog Lincoln, and now with our new rescue, Sally, who is four years old. I recommend them to EVERYONE I know who owns a dog (any age, any breed). Do yourself (and your dog) a favor and hire Paramount to help you communicate effectively with your dog. We rescued a shelter dog that needed to learn everything, and Alec and Mel have been fabulous! We did a couple of private sessions and have been doing group classes. Highly recommend them!! The group classes are especially great if you have a reactive dog or a dog that just needs to build up confidence.

We highly recommend Paramount Dog Training and Boarding. Mel, and his staff are extremely professional, caring, and patient with a passion and love for dogs. They have excellent communication skills and emphasize the power of consistency and reinforcing good behaviors. They have trained us to be better owners. The facility where the training is held is very clean. This is our third dog being trained by Mel. Our five month old puppy, Archie, just completed his puppy class and knows all his basic commands and beyond. He will continue advanced training with Mel With being a therapy dog as the end goal.
