I reached out to Ashley regarding training for our dog before our newborn comes. I was not sure about doing a virtual training, but we wanted to try it as I know that we as the dog owners need to be the ones to train and maintain consistency, not her. We had several sessions over a couple of months and I learned a lot about the WHY our dog was reacting the way he was and many of the techniques that Ashley showed us helped right away. Now it is up to us to keep up the training, but our dog has reacted very positively. Definitely recommend Partnering Paws if you are committed to continually training and learning with your dog.

I highly recommend working with Ashley at Partnering Paws if your dog is displaying behavior that is undesirable and you don't know what to do. She helped us with our dog Marvel. He had many behavioral issues that stemmed from past trauma. The tools and guidance she gave us helped our entire household. Marvel has made tremendous strides and is becoming more well adjusted and chooses positive behavior more often than not. It's a continuous work in progress, but it's wonderful to see him feeling safe and happy. He loves to play with our other dogs and is a big goofball at heart.

We recently adopted a lab rescue that came with some crazy anxiety issues. We are very familiar with labs, but this is our first rescue, and we were pulling our hair out trying to understand and correct her behavior issues. Not wanting to give up on her, I googled local trainers in our area. Ashley with Partnering Paws was on the list. Ashley is not your conventional dog trainer/behavioralist. Though local, she meets with you virtually. I was hesitant at first. But after doing some research, it makes sense to hire someone who will "train YOU" to "train your dog". Ashley also checks in, and often. I definitely felt like we were her priority. She not only gave us great direction with getting our rescue on track, she also helped us with suggestions as to what questions we needed to ask our vet. I can't recommend Ashely enough! She really helped us out in a dire situation and we're all adjusting perfectly!

Our dog doesn’t have behavioral issues, per se. He’s a very calm, even tempered and affectionate dog. However, our house was the third one he’d be living in within a 4-week period, so his issues were more emotionally based. After our initial consultation, Ashley devised a terrific, detailed plan for exactly what he needed. In a relatively short period of time, Henry responded very well to the training exercises. He’s still a great dog, but now I can see his confidence building and so much more of his personality showing through. The weekly Zoom calls, as well as the practice activities in the daily Training Log, are the foundation of the training. Depending on how the training was progressing, Ashley was very adept at tweaking the training plan, accordingly. She’s very responsive to any questions or concerns, and provides well-thought out responses. She has been an absolute pleasure to work with!
