Pat's Pack Dog Training

We had a wonderful experience with the 3-week board and train program. Our dog came home more confident, well-mannered, and responsive to commands than ever before. That provided great communication throughout the process, including updates and guidance to help us maintain the training at home. I like that follow up training sessions are included to keep our dog on track and Pat is always available for my questions post boarding time. It was clear that our dog was cared for and treated like family. We are so grateful for the time, patience, and expertise that went into helping our dog succeed.

I cannot recommend Pat's Pack Dog Training enough. I brought my rescue dog Frank to Pat, and honestly the transformation has been incredible. Frank came to me with a ton of energy and the kind of unpredictability you'd expect from a rescue. A sweet dog, but a lot to handle. Pat completely changed that. Through the boarding process and the follow-up appointments, Frank became a completely different dog, in the best possible way. He listens, he's calm, he's a joy to be around. I can bring him literally anywhere now and he's just great. Friends, family, strangers, everyone loves Frank, and a huge part of that is the foundation Pat built with him. What really stood out beyond Frank's individual training was how much he improved with other dogs as a result of the boarding. That socialization piece was something I hadn't fully anticipated, but it made a huge difference in how Frank carries himself overall. Pat's follow-up appointments kept everything consistent and gave me the tools to reinforce what Frank had learned. That ongoing support means everything. If you're on the fence, don't be. If you're looking for a dog trainer, Pat is it. You found the right one! Pat trained my Golden Retriever, Jet, and the results were night and day. From crate training and leash manners to basic and advanced obedience, Jet picked up new skills faster than anticipated— and I attribute it all to Pat. Pat's depth of knowledge not only means you get such helpful real world explanation of what's happening, but a plethora of tools and tricks to use for success. What really set Pat apart was his ability to explain the why behind everything. Understanding why Jet behaves a certain way, body language / behavioral triggers, healthy vs. unhealthy play behavior — that kind of knowledge has been invaluable, especially raising him around my family's other dogs. Pair that with his guidance on when to introduce verbal commands and how to adjust each step up or down, and the whole process just clicked in a way it never had before. On top of being the best dog trainer, Pat is genuinely a fun person to be around and communicate with. Asking for advice always feels comfortable - I know I will get a helpful answer and a solid plan going forward. I cannot recommend Pat's Pack enough.

We had an absolutely amazing experience with Pat and his two-week board and train program. The difference in our dog is truly night and day. Our main concerns were leash walking, basic obedience, and his fear around other dogs. Before training, he would quiver around other dogs and struggle on walks. Now he walks beautifully on leash, responds reliably to commands, and confidently visits local dog parks where he plays well with other dogs. He has even received compliments from others on how well behaved he is. What really sets Pat apart is that he does not just train the dog, he trains the humans too. We learned so much about providing leadership, communication, and consistency. The education we received has made all the difference in maintaining positive results at home.
