Hello I would like to get a pet therapy certificate to go to nursing homes etc for a dog that I am thinking of adopting. Do you offer these classes? Thanks Leslie M
Yes we do! We recommend taking our obedience courses (starting with Beginner thru Advanced). A couple months prior to the evaluation we offer a 4 week Therapy Dog Prep class. The evaluation is held once a year in either late May or early June.

How old does your puppy need to be to start training and do they need all shots first?
The puppy class says you can start as early as 8 weeks- 6months that's for the puppy class and then the beginner obedience they have to be 6 months or older and yes you need proof they are up to date on vaccines

Hands on training for the dogs, but more importantly for the owners. Not only do they teach you basic things (puppy manners class) but give you homework to follow so you can drive the message home to your fur baby. Our trainer was Shevonne (goes by Shevy) and she is absolutely marvelous. Our pup took to her so well, as did the other ones. There was one 7 month pup that was out of control when he started classes. By 3 classes he was calm and was able to socialize so well....got to hand it to the trainer. Highly recommend them. Price wise....you cannot find anyone any lower than them....I guarantee it.

Our experience with Patience Inspired Dog Training was wonderful. The instructors were pleasant, and took all the time needed to show each team in the class exactly how to achieve success with our dogs. The facility is awesome with a spacious and clean indoor area and a huge fenced in outside lawn. We will be looking at PIDT's website in a few more weeks to enroll our dog in other classes and activities.
