We are exceptionally grateful for Chad’s help. This is a bit long, and I could go on and on with our praises for Chad at Patriot Canine Services, but here are some things that make Chad awesome (in no particular order) and I hope will help others in search of a trainer. 1) While it seems that Chad prefers training big dogs, he loves small dogs as much as he loves big dogs. 2) Chad is flexible and he adapted the training plan to meet our priorities and goals. While he does a lot of board and train, we opted for sessions in our home (and sometimes at his place) and then eventually added a one week board and train. We were able to schedule these on extremely short notice as soon as we and our Frenchie had mastered everything from the prior session. 3) Chad is exceptionally generous with his time. For every at home session we had, Chad spent at least equivalent time, if not more, answering our follow-up questions and giving advice. He is always quick to respond. He was always happy to stop back for a brief visit if we were struggling with something. 4) Chad’s commitment to the success of our dog has not ended even though we have completed our training contract. The transformation we witnessed in less than 2 months was remarkable but we have ongoing work to do and feel well equipped to do so. While we have relocated for the summer, Chad remains invested in our dog’s success. When we have a new challenge and need some advice or reassurance, he is still quick to respond to texts and emails and this has had a huge impact on our success. 5) Chad does remarkable volunteer work training rescue dogs and service dogs, so supporting his business also supports the training of other dogs in need. We highly recommend Chad and I know our Frenchie does too!

I cannot say enough positive things about Chad with Patriot Canine Services! We have brought many dogs (challenges) to him that were rescued and facing the ultimate consequence of euthanasia do to behavior issues. Each of these dogs had a different story and a different circumstance. The things that were the same for each of them was their lack of connection, confidence, self control, consistent direction and structure. Each of these dogs needed to learn something different to succeed in their environment. Chad was able to work with them and figure out the best techniques to reach and approach them. Helping them become a better version of themselves, as well as helping them to become successful and properly connect with their families. He not only worked with the dog, he also got to know what their life and home were going to be like. This helps the dog succeed WITH their family. Which is sooo important. He gives each dog AND their families the skills and confidence to succeed in their home environment with continued consistent, effort and care! He works directly with you, your family and the dog, to help meet specific conditional needs and will teach you how to continue to be successful WITH your dog in your home.

My rescue dog, Deja, was overwhelming. She would bark at everything and everyone, lunge, snap and growl. I couldn’t take her for a walk without worrying I would hurt one of my neighbors, or myself. I was so frustrated!! Then came Patriot Canine Services. Chad trained Deja to harness her energy in positive ways. Equally important, he worked with ME to build my knowledge base so we could continue the training long after her board and train was over. Thank you, Chad!
