Where do I start? Merissa, Kevin and their team of dog whisperers work magic. I met with Merissa for a consultation about my 1 yr old Boxer, Gunner. I had been taking Gunner to another trainer since he was about 6 mos old and he would go for day training 3-5 days a week, for the entire work day. He even went thru a group obedience class. Gunner has been very reactive since the very beginning. I was given the opportunity to choose him when he was just an hour old and once his eyes were open and he knew who I was and I was his, that was it! Game on-he was very territorial with his brothers and sisters. When he was almost 7 mos old, I shattered my ankle. This meant my Mom became Gunner’s primary caregiver. But, he was still very reactive towards me, especially at night. Gunner slept on my bed. When it was time for bed, it was like he became a totally different dog. He was aggressive and very out of control-not what I expected from a Boxer! He would put me in a corner in my bedroom and because I was not able to defend myself properly due to my ankle and I could not just get up & walk away, he would lunge at me, growl, bark & show his teeth. I was at a loss. I didn’t know what to do. Rehoming him wasn’t an option and the training facility I had been taking him to since he was a smaller puppy wasn’t providing any support, but they sure were taking my money! Gunner was also struggling with socialization, which I attribute in part to my injury. I couldn’t ask my Mom to socialize him all the time, after all, she’s GRAMA and very petite when compared to my rapidly growing dog. He was hard for her to handle. He was afraid of sounds, other animals & people. I wanted to be able to take him places such as the beach and not have him lose his mind. I was scared that something would happen. I was/am willing to do whatever I can to help prevent Gunner from hurting me, himself, another person or animal. I have never had to spend so much money on a pet before, but I am a firm believer of being a responsible pet owner. Merissa and her team worked magic with Gunner. He went thru the 8 week Behavior Modification Program. It was hard to leave him and not see him for the first 2 weeks, but when I did, all I could think was WOW! He had already changed so much. Obviously I had to do my own training too, but I owed it to Gunner to give him the best opportunities and reach his potential. Gunner thrived while he was with Merissa. I was almost afraid he wouldn’t want to come home. It is very clear to me that, Merissa, Kevin and their entire team work closely and commuicate really well, but above all else, they LOVE animals and they know what they are doing. I wish I had known about them when Gunner was just a puppy…I would not have wasted my money elsewhere. Thank you Paw and Hand! 💙 Kelle & Gunner 🩵

This company as whole has been nothing short of amazing!!! We took our untrained pitbull to them because my wife is getting back surgery. And he is 95 lbs us loves to bulldoze his way onto her lap.,Pull her down the stairs on walk times, and constantly pull her….. 6 weeks later he’s a brand new bubba!!! He walks off leash by her side, listens to every command, sits and stays until he is commanded not too…. I tell you what! They will have our business and all of our friends forever!!!

I loved the day school and the experience we had with Paw and Hand. The staff was always professional and great at answering any questions we had training or billing-wise. There was great communication and any experiences we had on site were wonderful as well. Daisy returned happy and tired out each day and was calm the following day as well. Our dog started very early as a puppy and attended for 2 months before personal circumstances caused us to withdraw her from the program. Even in the short time she was there she learned so much especially in her essential early months. My proudest moment I was taking her to walk on the trails at a local park where I would often let her off leash since she always had great recall thanks to the training she received. One morning she spotted a deer and took off after it. After one recall she immediately stopped chasing and came back to me. Paw and Hand also sends lots of pictures and videos which were the highlight of my day.
