Paw and Hand K9

Hi, I’m Charlie. I’d like to tell you a story about me and my mom and Paw and Hand K9. I used to be a little rowdy and unruly. I didn’t listen or follow directions. I ran out doors and into streets. I jumped on people. I didn’t come to my mom when she called for me. My mom tried and tried with me. She was frustrated and I had to stay home in my crate when she left the house. When Mom and I went for walks, she was very tired when we were finished because I pulled her all around. One day, my mom made a phone call to Paw and Hand K9. We met with them in person the very next week. Two weeks after that, I entered their Freedom Program. I met lots of kind people who were patient with me and understood how to teach me. Kevin is now one of my best friends. He also teaches my mom. Now, I come when called. I don’t jump on people. I am an absolute delight when I join my mom on walks. I wait at doors. I now get to go with my mom anywhere I am allowed to be. I haven’t been locked in my crate at home since my graduation from Paw and Hand’s 8 week board and train Feedom Program. My mom tells anyone who will listen about Paw and Hand K9 and how they helped our family. She says they answered all her questions and their communication is top notch. Even though I have finished the 8 week program and my refresher course, my mom is happy to report that she still feels supported by Paw and Hand K9. If she has any questions, she can just call. This was the best decision my mom made!! Thank you Paw and Hand K9!!!

I cannot thank Merissa enough for training my dog! I have a 3 year old beagle who had been through other training that absolutely did not work. I really had my doubts if the training would work but i gladly was proven wrong. My dog would not walk on a leash without it feeling like your arm was being pulled out of its socket. Car rides were the worst, he would run back and forth across the seat barking at every animal he saw and even people. If you ever heard a beagle bay you can imagine what that was like in an enclosed vehicle. I literally could not and did not want to take him anywhere due to his behavior as people thought he was aggressive when all he wanted was attention whether it was good or bad. Now I absolutely love taking him for rides into stores and the park. They kept me informed of his progress with videos and weekly visits and didn't treat me like a bad person because of his behavior. All the staff were attentive and answered any questions even when Merissa was away. I don't hardly ever do reviews unless there is a reason to. I would recommend that even if you think there is absolutely no way they could help with your fur baby give them a chance. You will be amazed!!

My 4 year old German Shepherd/Husky mix's behavior had deteriorated over the past couple of years to the point that daily life had become difficult. After a board and train program at Paw & Hand, she came back a much more confident and disciplined dog! If you're committed to putting in the work to improve your dog's behavior and obedience, then I would definitely recommend Paw & Hand as a starting point and foundational step toward that improvement.

My husband and I adopted our dog, Nyx, in February and had very little idea of what we were in for. She is like a big black bundle of pure impulsivity, no attention span, quite a sprinkle of ornery but also very sweet and loving. Its a paradox, I know. Because of her unique disposition her trainer, at Paw and Hand K9, came up with a game plan that worked specifically for her. She is not an easy dog to train, and we will be working with her a ways in future. However the greatest part is that we were also trained to work with Nyx! Giving us the right tools to work with her has been like getting a gift. Neither myself, my husband or Nyx have perfected this yet but our lives are so much more peaceful. The transformation has been a game changer for all of us. I can't thank Paw and Hand K9 enough for all of help they gave us! Especially her favorite trainer, you know who you are... :)
