Khafren is an incredible dog trainer. He helped our puppy, Tino, so much in a short amount of time—especially with behavior, confidence, and socialization. We saw real, noticeable improvements and felt supported every step of the way. Khafren is patient, knowledgeable, and really understands dogs (and their owners). In July of this year, a dog showed up on our front doorstep and we tried everything possible to reunite him with his owners. When that did not work and there was no way we were taking this adorable boy to the pound, we knew we were in. What we did not realize was just how much training he would need and how much we needed to learn to manage such a high energy, lovable goofball. Khafren at Paw Paw Dog Training assessed our boy and immediately let us know he was a great fit for his program. The progress has been incredible. Buddy is listening more, he is less excitable, our walks are finally enjoyable and he has even gone to the dog park. I will be honest, at one point we did not think Buddy would ever get here and we even considered rehoming him with someone who might be a better fit. Khafren gave us hope, trust, patience and most importantly joy and connection with Buddy. This is his forever home. We are continuing training because there are still skills to master, but having Khafren in our corner, supporting us every step of the way, has made all the difference. Khafren Ruiz has been fabulous guiding me through the many challenges you inherit when you adopt a shelter dog with unknown triggers. Our new fur baby, Kai, is 75 lbs of enthusiasm when he is triggered by other dogs & wildlife when out on walks. We have made significant progress in making him much happier and safer on our outings. I understand him better and thanks to Khafren’s gentle, patient and knowledgeable understanding of Kai’s needs we will continue to progress to be able to have so many more fun experiences with Kai as we move forward with his training.
