My name is James and I am the owner and operator of Pawfect Solutions. Pawfect Solutions is a dog training and boarding service based out of Brentwood, NY. We serves all of Long Island with private in home lessons, board and train services, and boarding services. For over a decade, No matter the breed, or the problem I have always given it my all to train dogs and help properly educate their families. Through experience I’ve learned that no matter how great a trainer may be, one must be able to work with, and assist in educating the families in order to assure the maximum desired results are achieved. My goal is to build a strong, loving, and everlasting relationship between you and your dog!

James has both trained our dogs and boarded them on multiple occasions over the years. We couldn’t be happier with the service/care they have received.
James helped train our now two year old when he was a puppy. Our very skittish rescue also seemed to warm up to him fast. We used Pawfect solutions during our wedding weekend. We needed someone we trusted with our two crazies. They both did great. James put a ton of work into the grounds and it’s beautiful.
We boarded our Bernese for the first time this spring with James and were a little nervous because our pup is a bit of a wimp when it comes to playing with other dogs. We boarded our Bernese for the first time this spring with James and were a little nervous because our pup is a bit of a wimp when it comes to playing with other dogs. He matched him up with a perfect doggy friend and he looked so happy in the check in videos! James’ assistant was also very responsive in our scheduling needs and flexible with changes we needed to make. Grounds are also very well kept!

James is a very kind and skilled dog trainer, but his communication and handling of appointments is poor. Between cancelled and rescheduled appointments it was very hard to keep up with a proper schedule. There was constant issues between the handling of money owed, scheduling appointments that fit his schedule and obligations, and making sure we were on top of the amount of training days agreed upon.The organization was beyond poor sadly. Another issue I had was one appointment specifically James brought an assistant, and instead of properly training our dog and taking his time to treat his specific needs, he talked to his assistant the entire time with minimal words or corrections said on a near 45 minute walk. Basically, I paid over $120.00 to walk my dog, which I do nearly everyday. Our dog made great progress under James truly, and I believe he is a great trainer, but I believe a lot of things could have been done better in both organization, and proper training to better assist our dogs specific needs.
