Pawmos Dog Training

Gabriel saved us from insanity. We rescued our dog before realizing she had separation anxiety and would bark when left alone. We tried a trainer who specialized in separation anxiety training and worked with her for 2 months with little improvements. I am so grateful we found Gabriel, within a couple weeks after meeting with him we were able to leave our dog home alone for 2 hours. Now we can leave her alone for 4 hours. Before we found Gabriel we were seriously considering finding a new home for our dog where she would never have to be alone but I am so glad we didn't have to because we are so in love with her now and she has become so well behaved. Gabriel gave us our lives back and gave us the confidence to establish boundaries with our dog instead of letting her run our lives. Thank you for everything Gabriel. My son got Gracie, who is a pitti, as a rescue a year ago. She is a young strong dog, about 60lbs. My husband is retired and he watches her while my son works. We live in a large old Brooklyn apt building. The halls are narrow and the elevator can be full. There are times when Gracie will react strongly with some of the neighbors. This behavior is unpredictable. A lot of people don't like and are unfamiliar with dogs. They will stare at Gracie, and she is at 100 is ferocious. She is scary. That is a very uncomfortable and unwelcome situation and dangerous too. A dog like Gracie needs to be trained and we need to be trained too. We hired Gabriel to help us to understand how to work with Gracie. Over the year, we have had him come to our building and work with us 4x. It has been enormously helpful. He has helped us to work on specific things, like distraction by way of side pulling with the leash (never pulling back!), breaking her concentration on the one person, that is causing Gracie to go ballistic, with a gentle side pull, a circle away from the stimulus and a sharp noise that get her attention away from the stimulus. The goal is de escalate and it works! Having Gabriel work with us has helped us to gain the confidence necessary to work with our sweet charcoal gray Gracie. We will have come over again for a refresher session. Everyone needs a refresher. Our relationship with our dogs area always dynamic, never static, and a reminder of how to be with them is good thing. I really liked Gabriel!

We were SO happy to find Pawmos Dog Training. Our pup Bo is a big baby (silver Labrador) at over 100 lbs and just a year and change old. He had all sorts of issues from jumping up, leash pulling, barking and all the typically doggy issues. I knew he needed more than just a few sessions, so we booked him for a week long doggy sleep over/intervention. I love how communicative, enthusiastic, and patient Gabriel was with Bo and us. He returned home with so much more understanding of what we want from him and how to better behave. Of course there is no magic wand and we have to keep up the work, but he is significantly better and we look forward to having some follow up visits in the future. Gabriel completely changed my life. If you’re reading this, I’m going to sound like a liar because it just sounds too good to be true. But I swear working with Gabriel was the best decision I ever made. I have a 1yr old dachshund who was notoriously reactive. He barked at everything from bikes to other dogs to the wind blowing the wrong way. It was so bad that some days I couldn’t walk him more than 2ft outside our front door before he’s see something that would set him off and the day would be ruined. He could not go to dog parks. He could not meet other dogs on the street. He could not be around children. His behavior got him nicknamed “the lil devil” around the neighborhood and my in laws had asked us not to bring him to Christmas this year! We tried training I had picked up from when my older dog went through training years prior. No use. We tried a different trainer through another company. She was friendly and had us try positive reinforcement treat training while outside. But it did not help in the slightest. We tried for weeks and saw no improvement. I then tried every YouTube channel I could find on dog training and spent an hours outside with him at a time, seeing only very minimal improvement on occasion. I thought all hope was lost. Then finally I decided to trust a review I found on Reddit for Pawmos. I signed up but expected little. Thankfully I was too quick to judge. After ONE session my dog was immediately more well behaved. Gabriel had us switch our leash and gave me pointers on how to communicate effectively with the leash and my dog. By the end of the 1hr session my dog was not only walking without pulling, he also met other dogs on the street, and went to the park where he played with other dogs both on and off leash! I thought for sure it had to be a fluke. No way could one session solve 99% of my dogs problems. But I was wrong. I followed Gabriel’s advice and going on walks now is a breeze. My family can’t believe this is the same dog. I enjoy being a pet owner again. I’m able to take my dog into stores and to the dog park and walk around a very triggering city with almost no problems (he still has a few minor grumbles but it’s 0.0001% of the intensity as before and corrects himself quickly). If you are at the end of your rope literally can’t figure out what else to do, the answer is pawmos. The cost of a session can’t even come close to the reward of having a well behaved dog.
