Paws Abilities Dog Training (est. 1999) helps people enjoy their dogs! Our trainers utilize the most effective reward-based and proven techniques available, and are current on the best adult learning trends to help you teach your dog. We keep up-to-date on the latest research and are members of multiple professional organizations. We love both ends of the leash, and are excited to work with the whole family to help you achieve the great family pet or competition dog you’ve always dreamed of! Paws Abilities works closely with veterinarians and veterinary behaviorists, as well as breeders, shelters, rescues, and community programs. We believe in a collaborative community, and look forward to helping you enjoy your dog!

Not for small breed dogs. Was just a waste. All the other puppies were just pouncing on my 3lb chihuahua. Made it very bad experience and now it's been taking him years to even like bigger dogs.
We went for a puppy class geared towards "at the groomer" type socialization. The "class" consisted of some mats with different textures being placed on the floor and a sound of a hair clippers being played in the background. We went for a puppy class geared towards "at the groomer" type socialization. The "class" consisted of some mats with different textures being placed on the floor and a sound of a hair clippers being played in the background. The trainer leading the class seemed really disorganized and maybe new? She didn't handle the puppies with different energy levels well. She just let one of the dogs chase the shy ones around when they were clearly scared and cornered. The facilities equipment and set up seemed very haphazard and pieced together like maybe they just recently moved in or were moving out? The class was cheap compared to other training facilities in the area and we could see why. If you can intervene when needed, already have a good idea what your dogs needs are, and are on a budget, this is maybe the place for you.

Everything we did was tailored to each dog. The small class sizes are great so the trainers can give you so many different ways on setting you & your dog up for success for what you’re working on and everyday things. Won’t ever be using another company!
Knowledgeable staff, well organized and fun! Have attended puppy class and beginning obedience and had great experiences with both.
