Paws & Beyond

My teddy, a 7 month old golden retriever, has been training with PAWS AND BEYOND for several weeks now to become my service dog. Learning to assist me with everything from picking things up and helping me to sit and stand. What they have done and taught teddy while still being very much a puppy is just amazing!!! If anyone is just looking or wondering if it's a good Idea or worth it let me tell you it is so worth every dime and then some!!!! Thank you again to everyone at Paws & Beyond for being so kind and wonderful and for everything you've done for Teddy and I so far!!! We will be forever clients from training to boarding to grooming there is no better place I have found and I've tried plenty over the years! Your team rocks!!! If you can't trust your own instincts about a person I always say trust your dogs!! It is easily evident when being there and seeing Sharon interact with clients, staff, and pets that they all love her and so do we!

With so much negativity going around, I want to share something heartwarming and positive. Sharon J. Maher at Paws & Beyond is truly an angel. If you need any training for your pup or boarding, you don't need to look any further. Here's my story: It's been one heck of a weekend. I went up north to see my sister on Friday because there was a special wrestling event on Saturday that we planned on watching together for the last month since it was announced. However, Laya (my two year old Doberman mix) had her spay surgery on Thursday and on Saturday I got a phone call that her incision had gotten opened because she got out of her cone. So long story short, the owner of the kennel she was at took her to Lansing, which was an hour and a half drive one way, and took care of Laya having a second surgery to close up her incision. It will cost me over $1700 but I am glad that my girl is OK and healthy. The blessing in all of this is that the owner of the kennel put the money on her credit card to pay for Laya second surgery and I am paying for back when I get my insurance money after layah's claim gets approved. I am so thankful I have pet insurance on her. Laya is doing great. She is healthy. She's a little tired still which is normal but she's doing good. Through all of this I was able to stay clean and trust God to take care of Laya and I am so grateful. I drove back home as fast as I could safely get here this morning after church. So thankful to be home with my girl. Thank you to Sharon and her husband Jim.. We love you so much!
