Paws Down Dog Training

Rachael has been such a blessing in our life!!! We got Finn from the shelter almost 2 years ago, and while my wife and I loved him so much, he had no small amount of challenges. He was severely reactive towards dogs and cats, and had pulled my wife down the stairs to chase after a small dog. For more than a year my wife couldn't take him on a walk outside, and his behavior in the house wasn't much better. Since training with Rachael, our life has changed so much for the better. My wife can take Finn outside for his walks, just last week we went to the mall and did a walk with several other dogs, and he did amazing. Now we're training Finn to take the Good Canine Test, something we never would have dreamed possible.

I got a dog that had been returned to the pound twice. He weighed 50lbs and I have a few mobility issues. I tried walking him and it was awful, he was reactive to everything, and terrible on the leash. I found Rachael on FB and contacted her. I signed up for 3 sessions. I thought that she was just going to help me with walking, but she came over and suggested other changes that made it a much happier home (he’s very active and ball obsessed). I can now walk him with confidence and at home he is a lot calmer. He’s such a sweet boy. Rachael helped turn him from an out of control dog into a calmer, happier version of himself. We adopted a rescue dog that we loved, but his aggressive behavior around our grandkids and anyone entering our home had us face a decision to get him training or surrender him, which would have broken our hearts. Thanks to Rachael at Paws Down Dog Training, our pup is now calm, obedient, and interacts great with our grandkids, family, and visitors. Rachael was amazing. She took the time to understand his behavior, gave us the tools and confidence to work with him, and was incredibly patient throughout the process. We are so pleased with Rachel! We went out of the country and I was beside myself leaving our new golden puppy (Rocky). It was the best decision we ever made. Her home is a perfect environment and she treated our puppy like part of the family. She sent videos and kept us informed. He was so well cared for and she spent hours every day working with him. She made so much progress with improving his puppy manners, basic commands and beyond. He came home happy and healthy and a much better version of himself. She allowed him to be a puppy and keep his loveable personality but he is the best behaved puppy we have ever had. I only wish I found her sooner! Thank you Rachel

Rachael is fantastic! Highly recommend. I was at my wits end when I called her to help me with my 6 month old rescue puppy Roxy. Giving up was not an option for me. She tailors her training to the individual dog and what will work for her. Rachael makes everything seem so logical and simple. She sends you notes after each training session so you can go back over them to refresh your memory and also makes herself available for any questions you might have. She took my Roxy from being a little crazy puppy to a well behaved girl. I cant say enough good things about her. Look no further do yourself a favor and call her. You will not regret it.
