Paws For Love school for dogs

Our brown heeler needed some training… our vet and neighbor recommended checking out paws for love..we met with Trainer and knew he was the right person to help us get our pup to stop barking at people (fear) and integrate into the surroundings and calm down.. he is now home and completely changed.. thank you Paws For Love! We highly recommend you! Give your dog the opportunity to meet Trainer.. he knows and understand dogs! **** four stars!

We paid over $1,000 for a 2 week board and train program with this trainer. He did not disclose that our dog would be trained alongside another dog. If we had known, we would not have agreed to it. When our dog came back, he had scratches and bite marks that were not there before. His behavior changed completely he developed separation anxiety, became fearful and reactive, and started showing aggression toward other dogs, especially small dogs. Before this, he was friendly and well adjusted. He even developed aversions to things he used to enjoy. Shortly after, he attempted to attack a friend’s dog, which was very distressing. We reached out to the trainer. He said he was busy and would follow up, but he never did. We received no support. I do not recommend sending your dog away for training like this. You should be involved in the training process with your dog. We later worked with a different trainer who trained both us and our dog together, and the difference was night and day calm, transparent, and no harm to our dog. We trusted this process and got back a traumatized dog and no accountability. Sharing this so others can make an informed decision.
