It’s very unfortunate that we live in a world where someone can go to someone’s Facebook page and make unconscionable accusations of abuse and neglect against a business in an attempt to hurt that business. We are people who have spent the last 10+ years giving their blood, sweat, tears and heart to the care and training of dogs but that is the world we live in. We have scared for over 30,000 dogs and although accidents have happened and situations have come up, none of them were due to neglect and abuse. We are not perfect, but we are caring and always learning and improving. We don’t know you personally Grace but you don’t know us either. We’re confident that our 1000+ clients would pull you aside and tell you with conviction that we treat their dogs like they are our own. We care for and train dogs and even save dogs that are going to be euthanized….does that sound like people who abuse and neglect dogs? We spend hours each week challenging our current processes and procedures, attempting to make positive improvements that would benefit the dogs that stay with us, etc., etc. Your friend described her dogs in emails to us as fearful and very nervous. Because of that, she requested we take pictures and send them to her which we did. Over the course of the 13 days that her dogs stayed with us, we sent 15 or twenty pictures to her. She responded with thank you’s and thumb ups. Not one instance of concern and she had visual proof. The pictures prove that no to little weight loss occurred while they were with us. Your friend has all of those pictures so feel free to view them. Her dogs ate every meal ( we even had to email your friend to bring more food because they ran out of food). We played with her dogs, cared for her dogs, talked to her dogs, and loved on her dogs as we do every dog that we come into contact with…we are dog people to the core. Dog people don’t neglect and abuse dogs. We love on them. We have no idea where the picture your friend plastered on social media today came from but that was vastly different than any picture we took. Her dogs were extremely active while with us but that’s not uncommon and we don’t believe it’s a bad thing. Most people would rather their dog be up and moving around, getting fresh air and communicating with other dogs and humans. The opposite, being stuck in a crate for many hours is typically NOT what our clients want. All that being said, we welcome you or anyone else to come and meet us. If you have a dog, bring him or her. We consider it a gift when we meet new dogs.
