PAWS'itive Pals Dog Training

How Lauren is able to handle a very large yard full of dogs is nothing short of amazing. She is the pack leader at Pawsitive Pals. And while dogs of all sizes and breeds come to spend the day playing together, Lauren makes sure they are learning their socializing manners. I have also boarded my dog at Pawsitive Pals and it is the only place where I would leave her - where can you board your dog and they come home better??? Feeling very fortunate.

Charlie went here with us for training as a pup, now he is about 8 months old and we did a daytime socialization then boarded him this weekend to get him prepared for our trip in March. He came back happy, dirty and exhausted. Even though due to weather they had to close for play time, Charlie had a doggo buddie so he would not get depressed. I recommend this facility, and the owner is the sweetest woman and wants to make sure everyone is happy even when the owners are dead exhausted getting home from a long drive. She is perky, friendly and clearly cares about her dog friends.

This place has it all. My dog and I went through Obedience 1. I highly recommend this class to get the basic commands across to your pal. Lauren also teaches specialty training as well to correct certain unwanted behavior. Be sure and check out ALL that they have to offer. If you have a highly social and active companion, I recommend the daily socialization sessions with two time slots available per day, also full days are available. It is so fun to see all the familiar Pal Pack happy faces greet my dog (both furry and human) when I drop her off for social interaction and play. We both look so forward to it. It is so nice to feel at ease knowing your best friend is safe and having fun during your temporary separation. The Pal Pack team members are the Best! They are constantly in-check with each individual dog's behavior. They play and interact with all the dogs, so it's like back in school training and maintaining appropriate behavior and house rules. It's also fun to see photos and videos of some things your companion engaged in while you were apart. We absolutely love this place! AGAIN..This is my favorite place in Nevada County! I highly recommend Lauren and her wonderful team! My dog has been coming to Pawsitive Pals Dog Training almost two years now. She has so many friends there and loves making new friends who join. It's such a fun experience for us both. This business continues to be so valuable to our community. With all the various stages of any crisis our community is experiencing; Covid 19, fire emergencies, weather, finding forever homes for dogs in need, whatever it may be, they are up to speed and take all precautions to keep their patrons safe and informed and taken care of. We are so lucky to have all these services and benefits in one conveniently located facility. YAY Positive Pals! We love you! The gardens that surround are all truly beautiful and full of color and vibrant energy.

Lauren has so much patience, so much compassion, and SO much knowledge!! I adopted my dog from a shelter and had no idea what I’d gotten myself into... dog Rosie was so nervous and a ball of energy I was sure she’d never get along with other dogs or even people. But with lots of time and lots of learning with other dogs and dog parents, we’re finally at a place where she can meet new dogs and know what to do, how to greet new people without losing it, and is a happy healthy dog!! The truth of it is of course that I learned a lot more than Rosie did and I’m forever grateful <3
