We use paws'itive reinforcement to reach even the most poorly mannered dogs.
We cultivate the trust of the dog to facilitate a teaching method for the “furrent” (furparent/owner) and the canine companion.
There are numerous methods that are used in training our furry life-partners, however we believe that dogs primary focus is on the resource; thus we use paws'itive reinforcement of food, touch, and verbal praise.

Whether you are looking for a day of doggy socialization or you are looking to completely redirect your dog’s behavior, look no further as you have found the perfect facility. If you are willing to do your share of the work (the dogs are not usually the problem in regards to being successful or not 😉) then don’t hesitate, schedule your appointment today! Lauren and Adam are absolutely amazing people... A friend of mine had a medical emergency, he called me from the ambulance asking me to take care of his 150lb Akita. I have an apartment that doesn't allow pets, so on my one day off I had too drop everything and find boarding for an indefinite amount of time. From Sacramento to Auburn there were no takers with such short of notice.
Then I called Pawsitive Pals, spoke with Lauren, and initially I thought it was gonna be the same answer, but then she said, "This sounds important to you, tell me the situation". On a Thursday at 2pm she heard me out and said, "Here's what I'll do, I'll get to work and make arrangements to accommodate Smoke".
She also told me step by step what I could do to get him in and taken care of before they closed at 5pm. She knew everything, and her website was quick and efficient. I got the whole check in process done on the Pawsitive Pals website in 30 min. Every where else told me would take a day at least.
I dropped off Smoke a little after the 5pm closing time. Not only did she keep her word but her facility was beautiful and packed with at least 40 to 50 dogs. I couldn't believe she went out of her to help a stranger when obviously she really didn't need too. I honestly feel compelled to leave this review because Lauren and the Pawsitive Pal staff and facility were an absolute Godsend in my time of need.

My dog Taz has been going to positive Pals since he was a puppy and 6 years in he is the best well-behaved dog I've ever had and it's all thanks to Lauren and her crew!
