Paws N' Play

Great place for unique dog items but also for the knowledge and training offered through Paws N' Play by Terra and her co-trainer, Alex. Working with my GSD on some issues and couldn't be happier with their knowledge, patience and ability to assess both owners and dogs personality/temperament/needs and adjust their teaching style to those aspects of a case in front of them. That is what I am finding with my "pay as you go" lessons. I have also done classes with Terra and the pay as you go is helping me focus in on some specific needs. Homework given builds upon the next training need. Well worth it. Added: Wow, recent addition to Paws N Play is their board/train/day camp service. Very specialized and personalized care for our dear dogs. She and her trainers take in a limited number of dogs at a time so they get care, training, boarding tailored to their needs and personalities. A life saver for me.

I’ve known Terra since before she became a professional dog trainer, and I’ve had the privilege of watching her grow not only as a trainer but as a person. What’s always stood out to me is her integrity—she shows up with real care, compassion, and a deep understanding of dogs and their people. Even as her business has grown into this amazing community hub for dogs and their humans, she’s stayed grounded, approachable, and genuinely committed to doing what’s best for each individual dog. A huge thank you to those who recommended Terra Ruiz from Paws N Play. She was highly recommended as a dog trainer and we got even luckier to have her as our dog sitter while we were away. She provided daily updates, pictures and videos. Mochi got to socialize and play with other dogs she trains. She even got try an agility class just for fun. From refreshing our obedience training to agility and scent sports, our poodle has tried almost everything there is to offer at PawsNPlay and we are privileged to be able to work with a variety of amazing trainers who give me the best advice all the time. When my picky girl wouldn’t eat her meals, Terra was there to help us customize a meal plan that would ensure both tastiness and my pup’s wellbeing.
