Firstly, I love the fact that to enter the play area we walk through the shop area. This is a perfect opportunity to work on impulse control and regulation, and for the play to be a reward for working hard to get there!
The play area has marvelously springy and high-quality rubber surface. Tons of interesting toys and equipment to provide a rotating offering of enrichment activities to exercise body and mind.
The shop has unusual and interesting supplies. Terra, the proprietor, is easy to work with and is very accommodating in sharing the space and her training experience.
A total joy and privilege to have this spot in Sacramento! Highly Recommend!

This place is amazing! I have a 4 month GSD with lots of energy and sometimes struggle to keep him occupied at home in this sacramento heat. We booked a private play session and my puppy loved it and was completely gassed out by the time we left. They had lots of toys and training equipment to utilize. The owner was incredibly helpful and accommodating as well. We can’t wait to be back!

My standard poodle puppy is a ball of sass and energy. Having tried many petsmart and petco trainers with not much guidance, I was very overwhelmed with puppyhood and I needed to teach this girl leash manners and it seemed like nothing I tried worked. Since meeting Terra and coming to paws n play for training, we’ve made a complete 180 and I am finally able to walk my pup stress free without pulling. Terra broke down the basics for me and even showed me how to hold the leash in a correct position which really helped. We have been practicing every day and now I don’t have to worry about being embarrassed in public! :)
I am extremely happy and grateful for the wonderful staff and trainers at paws and play, as we even tried the rats in tubes class and had so much fun! There is so much offered here for dog enthusiasts and it is awesome to have a place like this so close by.
