Paws On The Ground Dog Training

The entire team at POTG are wonderful! I have a 1 yr old Cane Corso who was scared of his own shadow. He would coward down in the car and refuse to get out, head on a swivel jumping at everything when outside, and absolutely no impulse control. We had worked with two other trainers and were distraught because we couldn’t take him anywhere! He had so much pent up puppy energy and was too scared to go anywhere to play and release. We decided on a 3 week board and train with Kristin and Cory and let me tell you, AMAZING! Our big baby now gets out of the car without hesitation, goes to restaurants with us, beach playtime, and is much calmer in the home. His basic commands are so much sharper too. Kristin brought our boy home ( 3 hr drive) when his training was complete and spent a couple of hours with us to make sure we were successful at home. I can’t recommend this team enough. Thank you for everything.

I must say that I highly recommend Paws on the Ground Dog training! They did an amazing job with my puppy Cooper. They would send me videos of his progress and spent an hour with our family on how to keep reinforcing his training after his drop off. Cooper came back fully crate trained and his potty accidents were less and with their helpful tips he now stands next to the patio door when he wants to go outside. I’m definitely going to take him back at 6 months for the adult training.

We sent our 5-month-old chocolate lab for two weeks of training and couldn’t be happier with the results! Abby walks beautifully on a leash, stays in her place for longer periods (which she never did before), and even barked to let us know when she needed to go out! The biggest takeaway was establishing a schedule and setting expectations for her and us! This has made a huge difference in her behavior. We highly recommend POTG and plan to bring Abby back at 10 months for the follow-up training!

Choosing to work with Kenzi and Kellen at Paws on the Ground to train our puppy was one of those decisions that needs to be shared! Moose is a six month female miniature Bernedoodle. She is smart, extremely confident and wants to please, but she is also highly energetic and strong willed. She loved to lead the walk (twirl round in circles when seeing another dog), great you excitedly (aka jump on you) and she would use her long legs to counter surf! The Internet is full of promises and conflicting opinions about any topic. I'm writing this review about our experience so you can believe what Kenzi and Kellen at Paws on the Ground tell you. Dropping her off December 23rd for three weeks seemed like such a long time and yet correcting her challenging habits in just three weeks seemed impossible. When we picked her up January 13th we were blown away! She is still our loveable, spirited puppy, but she is so well behaved! My husband and I were trained that morning by Kenzi and provided with the tools needed to carry on Moose's training before taking her home. It has been exactly 2 weeks and she hasn't counter surfed even once! The neighbors are in awe of this sweet puppy now walking calmly by my side or sitting still as another dog walks by. Of course she is still a puppy so there are times we need to give her guidance and reminders when she wants to follow another dog instead of me but that's where our training kicks in. We feel confident continuing the training knowing that Paws on the Ground is only a phone call or text away! We plan to continue on with their off leash training next!
