Paws To Train Your Dog

When 2 of our 3 dogs started having frequent fights that led to stitches and vet visits, we knew we needed serious help. We’ve been working with Troy for almost a year now and our home is finally peaceful. We don’t fear for our dogs’ safety anymore and our entire pack is the calmest and happiest that they’ve been in the 8 years we’ve had them. We have used this past year to put all of the practices and techniques Troy has taught us into use and have seen some amazing transformations. That’s not to say we haven’t occasionally taken a step or two backwards at times but when that does happen, Troy is there to help. He has been available for email advice for certain issues and he has also done a home visit to help with the fighting issues we had in the beginning. Without Troy, I’m afraid we would have had to re-home or put down one of our beloved dogs. We whole-heartedly recommend Troy, especially if your dog has moderate to serious behavioral issues.

Troy helped me get my puggles to behave. My pugs are my fur babies, I know I know. I couldn't understand why they were so unhappy that they needed to bark and growl at visitors and fight with each other. It got so bad I had to separate them into 2 groups and my friends stopped coming over. I did not want to live like this anymore and another trainer said I should just get rid of some of them. Then I found Troy. My dogs were changed after the first training session! Instead of being their mommy and letting my dogs behave like kids at Chuck E Cheese Pizza, Troy said I needed to be more like a school teacher and provide more structure, routine, and discipline and have them earn their fun time. After a few training sessions, I am so happy to come home to peace and quiet and my furry kids are playing nicely again! I highly recommend Troy as a dog trainer!

Troy really knows his feces. Literally! I mean studying the color and shape of dog poop isn’t exactly glamorous, but it’s certainly important regarding a dog’s health and behavior. Troy is actually a massage client of mine. Apparently, training dogs and picking up their poop is hard work! I was excited to learn he was a dog trainer since I usually have pretty stubborn dogs and in my mind “untrainable” at least for a regular human like myself. I have to admit I know almost nothing about dogs’ behaviors. Troy and I offer each other helpful hints in our areas of expertise. It soon became clear how much our professions go hand in hand. I have to say it’s quite amazing to watch someone “read” a dog. He makes training look so easy. I find it refreshing to find someone that is so passionate about their work. I love when people continue to learn and grow to be the best they can be. I can see Lucy's excitement and desire to learn when he’s around. His biggest obstacle is to train me as I can be a bit stubborn too.

Troy is incredible! My St Bernard rescue, Charlotte, is dog reactive and after being knocked down and dragged several times, I was afraid to walk her.
