FirstBarkLori and Sarah are kind, patient and excellent at what they do! In just a few weeks, our very shy puppy is now going on walks confidently, is more sociable and is quickly learning all her commands! This has been a great experience and we are grateful we found Pawsessions!

Do you train therapy and service dogs?
Yes we are certified to train dogs at all levels including CGC (canine good citizen) CGCA (advanced) and CGCU (public access for service dogs). Laurie is an AKC certified trainer and is able to test dogs on these levels.

As a first time dog owner of an amazing yet crazy and energetic German Shepherd/Retriever Mix (Monte), I needed all the help I could get. From week one to doggy graduation, the difference in him was night and day. Before PawSessions, I spent a good part of my day cleaning up accidents, trying to fix his biting problem, and attempting to have him listen to ANYTHING I was saying. Sarah & Laurie showed great knowledge, as well as patience and love for all the dogs in the group. Both Monte and I felt at home and relaxed when in the training classes. Their enthusiasm and care was felt by everyone in the group and even made me sad when the sessions were over! If you’re looking for effective dog training with the added benefit of a local and family run environment, you’ve found your place.

I started going to Pawsessions in October and haven't stopped going since! I have a 1 year old rescue pup who is very timid, shy and scared of her own shadow. We're still a WIP because nothing changes over night, but working with Laurie, Sarah (and their pup Elliott) has been an amazing experience. Laurie truly cares about the well being of each dog. She analyzed Keeva (my pup) in our first visit and has helped me figure out a game plan that works best for her. This isn't a place where you're going to spend money for no results. Keeva went from hiding in the corner, to learning sit and come - a small win, but still a win! As long as you listen and put in the work, you and your pup will reap the benefits. I don't believe in bad dogs and neither does Pawsessions. Every dog has a future.
Laurie & Sarah now have a wonderful charming new facility in Greenlawn, so convenient to all of Huntington town. The care & training done for my puppy Fiona has done wonders for her disposition and her general happiness. As another local business owner, I highly recommend Pawsessions!
