Pawsitive Connection Dog Training

Highly recommend working with Stephanie! Enrolled red heeler/German shepherd mix in her Obedience 1 Class and loved it! She helped us reduce leash-pulling and understand basic commands (among other things). We are enrolling in all her obedience classes. In a full class, she gives enough attention to each dog and owner so you're both leaving learning the skills properly. (Background: he was 18 months old and had him for 4 weeks out of the shelter at the start of the course. We self -taught a few commands, but she helped us solidify them among learning new commands)

I highly highly recommend Pawsitive Connection Puppy Prep class especially if you have a young puppy or plan to get one soon. I adopted a Henri a couple months ago and definitely needed a refresher since I haven’t had a puppy in almost 10 years. I learned things that I wish I would have done with my older dogs when they were young. We ended up doing the class twice because it was so good for socialization and confidence building. Getting my puppy used to anything and everything that we may come across in life. She had some fears in the beginning, but now she is not afraid of anything! We have had multiple thunderstorms without her even reacting while my old dog shivers in fear. Henri actually listens to me and responds every time when I ask something of her. She has the most reliable recall out of all my dogs, and she also walks so nicely next to me on leash. This class is truly amazing. We are moving on to the Obedience class next. I’m confident Henri will be a dog that can go anywhere and do anything.

Five stars is not nearly enough! I sincerely believe that there cannot be a better dog trainer on the planet! She is absolutely amazing and even after going to classes for nearly two years, I learn something new each time! Her classes are entertaining and fun and full of so much useful information. There have been a couple of times when the training we received saved my pups life and last week it made her vet appt so easy! One time medicine spilled on the floor and when I said, "LEAVE IT!" my puppy stopped dead in her tracks and did not try to touch any of the medicine. At the farm, I saw her crawling under the truck towards a dead critter and I said, "LEAVE IT" and again, she stopped and came back to me immediately. We had a breakdown in our RV on the highway and she accidently slipped out the door and was startled by the noise of the men with their big truck, loud air compressor and working on the RV. I was worried she was going to be scared and run under the RV onto the highway and when I yelled, "Annie! Come!" she b-lined it straight to me and sat at my feet. Last weeks vet appointment was amazing! Two vet techs came into the room and were about to hold her down to examine her and give her a shot when I put her in a "Chin Hold" and she kept her chin in my hand during the entire exam! She was sitting and they stood her up, felt her whole body, found a lump that needed biopsied and gave her the shot with her keeping her face firmly in my hand. The vet techs were blown away and said they sure wish everyone would teach their dogs to do this and said they had never had it go that easy with any dog before. I know 100% that none of these things would have been possible if it wasn't for Stephanie at Pawsitive Connection! When I first signed up for class, I thought I would take one or two classes, get her fairly trained and be done. But after seeing what it is like, weekly classes at Pawitive Connection will continue to be apart of my life!

Wow! Just Wow! Stephanie was awesome to work with! Zola (my husky rescue) and I just finished taking Pawsitive Connection Dog Training-Reactive Rover class. I was sooo impressed by Stephanies training skills! She had put so much thought into this class. We had clear instructions/assignments every week to practice with our pups. In addition to that the training environment and Stephanie were friendly, kind, professional. Stephanie took the time to answer all our questions, that us dog parents had. This is our second leash reactive class (first time was in a different city with a different trainer) and honestly its amazing how much my Zola has improved in 5 weeks. Thank you so much, Stephanie!
