If you’re looking for a knowledgeable, patient, and dependable dog trainer who truly cares about both you and your dog, I highly recommend Greg. I really liked that Pawsitive K9 Academy LLC is locally owned and operated and that Greg came directly to our home for the consultation. He took the time to explain the training program, what we could expect from each session, and how every lesson would build upon the previous one. I chose to complete the entire training program, and it was absolutely the best option for Loki and me—and a great value for the results we received. Greg provided the training tools we needed at very reasonable prices, but more importantly, he made sure I knew how to use them correctly. He didn’t just train Loki—he trained me too! That made such a difference because I learned how to continue reinforcing everything Loki was learning between sessions and after our training was completed. Greg was incredibly friendly and patient with both Loki and me. After every training session, Greg would check in a couple of days later to see how things were going. He was always available by phone or text whenever I had a question and even offered to come back out if I had any problems with what we had worked on during a session. Now THAT is customer service! I have a busy schedule, and Greg was always flexible and willing to work around it, which I greatly appreciated. After we completed Loki’s training, I needed to board him for six days. Since this was Loki’s first time staying away from home without us, I was nervous about leaving him—and I honestly couldn’t think of anyone I trusted more than Greg. Once again, Greg went above and beyond. He picked Loki up from our home and brought him back home when we returned, so after traveling, I didn’t have to worry about rushing somewhere to pick him up. He did an amazing job helping Loki transition through his first stay away from us. Loki received plenty of walks, attention, and lots of love, and knowing he was with someone he already knew and trusted gave me tremendous peace of mind. Greg genuinely cares about the dogs he works with and the people who love them. His knowledge, patience, communication, follow-up, flexibility, and commitment to customer satisfaction are exceptional. I honestly cannot recommend a better trainer. We had a great experience working with Greg to train our 4-month-old puppy, Suggs! We signed up for the 3-session package and it was exactly what we needed. Greg helped teach Suggs all the basic commands and gave us really helpful guidance on how to continue reinforcing the training at home. He was very knowledgeable, patient, and always available if we had questions between sessions. We really appreciated how responsive and supportive he was throughout the process. K9 Pawsitive Academy completely reframed the way we were training our 4mo old Doberman/pitbull puppy, Sunny. Greg, the head trainer, was extremely accommodating and made extra efforts to text us and check-in with Sunny’s progress. Greg also always made sure that my wife and I felt 100% comfortable with each training technique, whether it was using the e-collar or the herm spring collar. Both of which have completely changed our lives for the better. Sunny’s recall, sit, down, place, and place and stay have all become great in only 10 weeks. This training academy is well worth the money and time. I can’t recommend Greg and his company enough!

When we first met Greg we were desperate for a change in Bayou’s behavior, he’s a husky so we knew we needed someone with experience and patience and Greg and both! Now we have a husky that LISTENS! My husband and I learned we needed to work just as hard as Bayou was to be able to make this work. Greg graciously adjusted his schedule for us, he worked with us and Bayou over several weeks and now it’s like we have a whole new dog, just as sweet and silly, but more confident in us as his parents and more confident in himself to listen and learn. We couldn’t have done it without Greg!!

When we first started working with Greg at Protective K9 Academy, our Cane Corso rescue, Kahleesi, couldn’t even be in the same room as him. Fast forward a few weeks, and she’s not only working calmly beside him—she’s showing him love and trust. Greg helped us turn a scared, nervous puppy into a confident, obedient dog. He even empowered our 7-year-old to be part of her training, and now she follows his commands with total respect.
