Geoff, <br>I’m sorry you feel this way, but I’d like to clarify a few important points for the sake of transparency.<br><br>First, Tyler, our head trainer at Pawsitive K9 Solutions, personally conducted your dog’s initial assessment. Tyler is my right-hand and a trusted, experienced trainer. As the business owner, I do my best to be hands-on, but I also rely on my team because I can’t physically be everywhere at once — which is why I’ve built a team I trust.<br><br>We were genuinely surprised you chose to bring your Belgian Malinois—who has $12,000 in advanced police and protection training—to our board and train program. While we successfully address a wide range of behavioral and obedience challenges, we are not a specialized police K9 training facility. Instead of returning to your original trainers, you asked us to follow your dog's existing set of commands without providing a clear training plan, expecting our team to adjust to a completely different training method.<br><br>Regarding your dog's training, we followed the intake form you completed in our portal. If there had been more clarity and detail provided upfront in those forms, it would have allowed us to align better with your expectations and avoid confusion. You later shared additional commands and hand signals after the program had already started, making it difficult for our trainers to adjust mid-course. Every training facility uses different methods, and assuming we could seamlessly replicate your dog's prior training without proper guidance was unrealistic.<br><br>To say your dog didn’t receive personal care or attention is simply not true. Your dog was treated with kindness, respect, and professional handling throughout his entire stay.<br><br>We also want to acknowledge the name mix-up — that was an honest mistake, which we addressed and apologized for directly in an email to you.<br><br>It’s also important to note that you submitted this Google review while your dog was still in our care, which makes your comments even more disappointing.<br><br>Additionally, your request for a refund was submitted just as the 7-day program was concluding, raising concerns that this was an attempt to receive free boarding under the pretense of a training complaint.<br><br>While our board and train programs are highly effective for pet obedience and behavioral challenges, specialized police K9 protection work is not within the core scope of our services.
