As a pet sitter with fur babies of my own, it was important for me to take the Pet CPR & First Aid class. Marta, the instructor, is very knowledgeable and deeply passionate about being a voice for animals. Because of the class, I feel confident in assessing whether a situation is an emergency or something minor that I can handle myself. This class isn’t just informative, it’s empowering! I highly encourage everyone, not just pet care professionals, but pet owners as well, to take it. It’s truly life-saving knowledge! And I’ve already put that knowledge to use! I was able to properly restrain/muzzle a dog that I was caring for to examine a paw injury. I’ve also started checking vitals when I meet a new pet client to get a baseline, and I do the same with my own dogs whenever they seem off. Most recently, I noticed hives on my dog. I immediately consulted my PetSaver booklet as I remembered Marta talking about this in class. It was an allergic reaction and I knew exactly how much Benadryl to give my dog (Google/AI will tell you wildly different answers!). While on that page, I noticed a chart of plants poisonous to pets which prompted me to search the backyard, removing anything I couldn't identify. 10/10 recommend!

I absolutely recommend this training and certification course to anyone with a pet. As a six-year Veterinary science teacher, I was still able to learn so much from Ms. Marta. She trained over 50 of our high school students with so much patience and knowledge. All of our students enjoyed it, as well as the two teachers that also took the training. I have been recommending to all pet parents and have also been implementing so many of the things that I learned into my every day life, especially in regards to animal nutrition, and geriatric care.
