We thought we'd done all of the necessary research prior to bringing our Entlebucher Mountain/Cattle dog, Ruby Tuesday, into our home in April, but we missed the parts about how intelligent and bossy these dogs can be. When I contacted Jack May 23rd out of exasperation (read desperation), we felt that nothing short of a miracle was going to convince us that we'd not made a mistake in our breed selection. We were close to returning Ruby to the breeder. Enter Jack and his awesome training skills, experience, and patience (with us and little Miss R). He was prompt in contacting me regarding our "cry for help" and we were able to start training within the week. With the right collar(s), 7 private training sessions and daily practice "work", we now have the perfect little lady and are proud to take her out on the town to show her off. Jack was just the "miracle" we needed and it's great to know that he's available if we have training issues or questions in the future. 🐾

Breeding/raising/training/showing German shepherds was my life as I was growing up. It was our family passion. My parents were obedience instructors just about everywhere. I grew up showing in obedience and confirmation, and was no stranger to putting championship points on a dog in confirmation, or another 'leg' in their obedience title. Many years later, I found myself with a fearful/reactive dog in my home and I just couldn't seem to make any progress. I used to teach intermediate obedience classes myself, but I just felt lost with this girl! I knew I needed help, and I knew Jack was the person to call. I met Jack many years ago at an obedience training facility, and immediately saw him as an extremely competent trainer. So, I knew he was someone I could trust to help me with this sitution...and I was so right! The change in my girl has been nothing short of miraculous. Jack did a fantastic job assessing the situation, and giving me the tools we needed. My girl and I still have a ways to go, but now I know we are on the right track! She has responded so well to his techniques and is becoming more confident and calm every day!

Meet Otis. Otis is a big, sweet, gentle, smart, chill guy. He is also a one year old Siberian Husky. And as he is our second Husky, we knew what to expect with this high energy, independent (read: stubborn, lol), working breed. One major difference this time with a puppy, as opposed to the first, is that we now have small children in the house. This made it feel exponentially important that we ensured that as Otis grew he would be obedient and well mannered. Enter Jack. After a referral from family who had worked with Jack with their sweet dog, we called Jack and he came over only a few days later to meet us, and Otis, and help determine our goals together. 
Otis’s arrival, and consequently Jack’s assistance, also came at an unexpectedly difficult time for our family with our daughter having unforeseen health concerns. I bring this up because Jack not only took into consideration what needed to be done for us to be successful with our new pup, but he also took into consideration our family’s unique situation, was understanding and compassionate toward the humans and the dog, and worked with us to make Otis’s training possible, as we were able…. We quickly knew that Otis is not a typical Husky. He too seemed to pick up on what was happening within our family and sensed just what we needed. But while he certainly does not fit the typical Husky profile when it comes to temperament, he is still a puppy who needed to learn…..and we needed to learn, too! We spent several weeks working one on one with Jack both in our home, as well as out in public settings, working on obedience. Otis made huge strides (as did we), and after several weeks Jack announced that Otis could graduate :) He left us with guidance of how we could continue to work with Otis, and Jack remains available to us anytime, both for further training if we so desire, but also as a resource for any questions that arise regarding dog ownership. His knowledge and experience is unparalleled, and we are thankful for our time spent with him. We highly recommend calling Jack for any dog you have. New or old, mellow or not, whatever the breed, whatever the situation, Jack will help you and your furry friend be successful together!

I took my dog to an 8 week group puppy class. She did not pass because she was fearful and would not let the trainer hold her leash. I read reviews about Jack and called him to see if he could work with her one on one. He responded promptly and within a few days came to meet Lulu. Lulu barked for the first 20 minutes of Jack’s visit. He explained to my family and I that she was fearful and that he thought he could help her. After 7 sessions with Jack, Lulu is not barking at everyone anymore. My family and I have learned techniques to help her be less fearful. She learned more in her time with Jack than in the puppy class. Jack trained us as well as Lulu so we have the tools to work with her and help her to be a better dog and us to be better dog owners. We can not thank him enough. If you have any qualms about doing one on one training with Jack, let me tell you that he explains his training technique thoroughly and he listens to your concerns and addresses them.
