Peace of Mind Canine Training LLC

I have always dreamed of having a dog that would “listen to me”. I have had dogs my whole life and have taken more training classes than I can count. Those trainings always treated each dog the same. Then I met Rebecca and her staff at POMC. Rebecca has an amazing ability to assess a dog and evaluate their training needs based on that individual dog. Her training method uses techniques that build on each other and most importantly, she explains things in a way that make it stick. She is extremely patient and is always available if you have questions. I’ve seem her come early and stay late after class to help students with their particular problems. She deals with everyday pet problems, but also specializes in reactive, strong willed working dogs. I now have my dream....a dog that will listen to me, but most importantly, I have and continue to learn how best to interact with my dog in way that is beneficial to both of us. I can’t thank Rebecca enough for all she has done for my family. We can’t wait to continue on with more and more training classes.

Unfortunately our experience with this training facility has been quite the stressful experience. There is a huge issue with communication. First you fill an application online to be contacted. We received a call back and missed it. A voicemail was left asking us to book our training. There are multiple training options online and you had to pay when booking. But we had so many questions! What type of training, training methods, ECT. So we called back... Again and again leaving multiple voicemails. We couldn't contact anyone. We had to show up in person which it says not to do. There was no choice. Then we were able to talk to the trainer Rebecca but had to pay a fee which would go towards training if you decided to join. Our dog needs a high amount of behavior training. This was discussed and was told it is something that can be worked on so we signed up. Afterwards the commination issues continued. We were able to contact via FB messenger but that ended. We needed to reschedule one of our training days. No answer after several calls, voicemails, emails, fb messages and when I went in person nothing. When I went they had told me there was no one there for four days. Which is understandable except I was trying to reach someone for over a week. My name and number was taken down as the trainer wasn't there and I was told they phone only received calls but they can't answer them. They would have to call back on a different device which still sounded like an excuse as everyone has a phone there. But I still did not get a call back!! The day of training came and went with no questions to why we didn't show. We were 3/6 trainings in. The same day our dog attacked our cat. We are devestated. There is nothing like being ignored in a time of need.
