We truly couldn’t have asked for a better experience during such an emotional process—rehoming our big boy. For over a month, the team at POM K9 took the time to understand our situation and our dog’s unique needs, offering patience and guidance that helped us feel informed, supported, and ultimately confident in our decision. Most importantly, they ensured he was placed in the RIGHT home—not just the next available one. From start to finish, Heather’s communication was exceptional. She kept us updated every step of the way, answered all of our (many, many!) questions, and showed genuine care for both our family and our dog. We now receive updates on him in his new home, which I’m incredibly grateful for—it brings us both joy and peace of mind (see what I did there? 😂). Everyone we interacted with during our visits was kind, knowledgeable, and easy to work with. It’s clear this team is truly passionate about what they do and deeply committed to the pups in their care. Witnessing their attentiveness, their interactions with the dogs onsite, and the way they advocate for them reinforced that—they treat each dog with understanding, structure, and compassion. And the facility is truly every dog’s dream! While rehoming was not a wanted—or easy—decision for our family, POM K9 made the process feel thoughtful, respectful, and reassuring. We know it was the right decision for him and for us, and we’re so grateful he’s now in a loving, well-matched home that can properly manage his resource guarding and reactivity. We’ve now found our other pup’s “home away from home” when needed. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a rescue—or training, boarding, or daycare—that leads with both heart and professionalism. 💚

I can't say enough great things about Peace of Mind K9! Heather and her staff are simply amazing!! My Pyr/Lab mix Cooper became a completely different dog in such a short amount of time by simply adding the obedience training to his daycare stays. The facility is incredible, the structure of group play perfect, and Coop absolutely loved his time with the staff, all who are super attentive and engaged. The videos of his visits were awesome, and their suggestions on how to continue his obedience training showed me that they really take the time to get to know their dogs. This was so important to us, especially when Cooper hit the adolescent age and his Pyr stubbornness began to show (so many Pyrs are given up at this age, and my suggestion is to call Heather first!). Nate is one of the best trainers we have ever encountered, taking the time to get to know Cooper and then going over Coop's training with us to ensure we're all on the same page. Cooper knew exactly what we meant when we would say "Nate would be so proud!". And the rides home saved us on more than one occasion! It broke our hearts to have to leave due to our move, but are using Peace of Mind K9 as the standard we're using to find another place for Cooper near our new home.
