Pat have us a huge amount of material to take home and use with our dog, plus has followed up with us several times since then. Could not recommend this service more highly!

Can you train racoons
Racoons can be trained, yes. In order to possess and train a racoon you need a permit from your state Fish and Game, Department of Natural Resources, etc. I don't recommend keeping captive racoons, and definitely don't recommend interacting with wild ones, especially as they are one of the primary carriers of rabies in the Eastern US, and also because it's not a good idea t habituate wildlife to humans. If you are asking if we can train them here at Peaceable Paws, the answer is no, we do not have a permit.

How much is a dog training academy? I'm trying to be certified dog trainer
Hi Dante! We have several different academies, starting with our Level 1 Basic Dog Training and Behavior Academy. Each is 6 days long and costs $1500. After you complete the Level 1 Academy we have Behavior Modification, Advanced Training and Behavior Study, Canine Cognition, Canine Aggression, Multi-Species and Cognition Plus. You can sign up for our academies here: https://peaceablepaws.com/peaceable-paws-intern-academies/ You must complete 3 academies to be a Pat Miller Certified Trainer 1 (PMCT1). Wonderful experience at Shaping Workshop! Pat Miller lives and breathes her philosophy of treating all animals with dignity and respect. As a newbie I was nervous but need not have been because her philosophy extends to human animals as well.
