Perfect Pals Dog Training

Let me preface with my sweet 2 yo pup Charlie is my entire everything. I've had several trainers from mediocre to good to work on various areas over the last couple of years. When I decided i needed help for his reactivity to children I knew i didn't want to do anything to make it worse and it would take a special trainer. Between the discovery call, her extensive training (including with the Karen Pryor Institute) and Erin's many glowing reviews I knew she was the best trainer in the metro area for the job. Erin is reliable, caring, amazing with dogs and people alike and truly passionate about her job. She is a hard worker and was always responsive and encouraging between sessions. I started working with Erin after adopting a fearful rescue, Maisie. Over the course of our sessions she taught us numerous skills and drills to build up Maisie’s confidence. She focused on positive reinforcement and bond strengthening that helped Maisie gain so much trust that she’s blossomed into the sweetest, most adventurous little girl. After each session Erin would follow up with notes and worksheets that I could review while practicing with Maisie in between sessions. These were so, so helpful and I would often go back to reference them when we needed more reinforcement in a particular area of training. Beyond clearly being a very skilled and intuitive trainer, Erin is such a warm and friendly person. She patiently listened to my recaps of our training progess or blockers, offering helpful advice to keep us moving in the right direction. When Maisie would achieve a new milestone Erin would celebrate us with so much authenticity that I would always look forward to sharing with her in our next session. Technically we’ve completed our initial training sessions, but I will without a doubt reach out to Erin again as Maisie continues to mature and we seek to unlock even more growth. I’ve loved every minute working with Erin (and Maisie gets amped for Auntie Erin to visit too!) and would emphatically and enthusiastically recommend her to anyone seeking a trainer.
