Performance Plus K9 Activity Center

I have been bringing my one year old black lab here since we got him in the spring last year. I cannot speak highly enough of the staff and treatment he receives when there. We took puppy training classes with Meghan which were great and I use their day care services 1-2 times a week to break up his week while we are at work/school and have him socialize with other dogs. If I say "do you want to go play with the puppies" he will come running and will not even sit still to put on his leash which is typically not the case. I truly feel the staff treat him like family and never worry about him when he is there. I am going to be leaving for a vacation and am so happy I know he will have a safe, fun place to stay with lots of love and care. I highly recommend K-9 Performance and cannot thank them enough for their stellar service.

Was really disappointed after hearing good things. All in all our dog basically learned two tricks during the entire class and that's about it. We spent time outside of the class trying to teach our dog but whenever we tried to apply it in real world scenarios nothing really stuck and we didn't get a ton of feed back in class to help get through it. Classes moved very slowly, spending about 20 minutes of every session doing things we learned the first session (like bubble work, even in the last session), which is fine if the rest of the time was spent moving a little quicker or learning new things, but it never really did. Most sessions ended with being told to practice bubble work or getting the dog to respond to its name. Instructor was nice but seemed to be a little all over the place, every session started late and ended late. In total they taught bubble work, lining your dog up on the correct side of your body, and walking next to you as well as two tricks (touch and spin, which were both taught to us after being told theyre basically just for show and arent part of training). I wasnt sure what to expect at the beginning but I know we felt felt underwhelmed for what we got out of it. The kicker was they had to cancel a session last minute and had rescheduled it on a date we already had plans and couldn't make. They wouldn't give us a refund for the day and stopped responding to us about making the time up. Training is definitely a "you get out what you put into it" type thing, but given the money and the fact that there were only 3 dogs total in our group, we were really disappointed with what we got out of it and their customer service (they also try to sell you on a bunch of stuff you don't really need that aren't cheap).
