Dear Christina, please let me share first that I hear and understand your frustration and I understand your feelings. I have been working with dogs for 30 years and I used to believe that with proper socialization and training these breeds make great family members. Even though good socialization and training is a large part of helping these them function better and succeed within our human social structures, they still pose a risk to those around them, due to their physical power and their unique lock down and tear bite style as well as their laser focus. Once a Pitbull lashes out, they are extremely difficult to pull off their targets and the physical damage to their victim is often severe. They are also very intelligent, loving, easy to train and can be great family members their entire life. I found from extensive experience that they are also unpredictable and can lash out at a target without obvious triggers or warning. We created dog breeds with strong physical and behavioral traits. We bred retrievers to retrieve, herding dogs to herd etc., etc. with little to no training required. These are innate behaviors. We bred Pitbulls to be tenacious, brave and determined for now banned cruel dog sporting or as human companions. We did breed more bite inhibition into them over the last decades but I have come to the conclusion from personal and clients experiences (and the list is very long and pretty gruesome....) that they innately pose too great of a risk to the four legged clients in our care and to our staff. So, Niki, as a business owner, and I understand you own a business yourself, I respectfully ask you to please remove your one star review, as you have never used our services and are judging the business on a personal conviction that disagrees with yours.
