Pet Peeves Dog Training

We cannot recommend Lauren enough! We had just rescued our first Doberman, Benny, from the humane society and had only had him for about a month when we found Lauren. Benny came from a horrendous hoarding case and had very little confidence or trust in people. We were scared and apprehensive about having him around other people and dogs, so finding the right trainer was incredibly important to us. We started private training with Lauren, and after just one session, we could already see improvements both in her training facility and at home. Lauren has an incredible way of breaking dog training down into small, digestible steps that never feel overwhelming. She also has the confidence and experience needed to work with a dog like Benny, who can be big and intimidating at first. What really stands out about Lauren is how much she genuinely cares. It’s obvious that she doesn’t just train dogs—she builds real relationships with them and their owners. Benny absolutely adored her. He would know we were going to training even an hour beforehand and would get so excited to learn and see Lauren. After what Benny had been through, it was hard for us to fully trust a trainer, but Lauren earned our trust completely. She helped us understand Benny better, build his confidence, and strengthen our bond with him. Benny is truly a different dog now—happier, more confident, and so much more fulfilled. We are 100% grateful for Lauren and would recommend her to anyone looking for a trainer who genuinely cares about both the dog and the people behind them. We will absolutely be back for touch-up lessons! ❤️

We entered our 9yr old into puppy training with her dog Violet and we're paired with Lynette! I knew after talking with Lauren and doing the evaluation for Violet that we'd found the right place to help us with her. She's so timid and overly nervous about EVERYTHING but with Lynette's help for our daughter to learn obedience basics and the signs for nervous dogs and comfort techniques I'm proud to say that not only does Violet sit, stay, heel and backaway very well but she's STOPPED barking and running from everything: biggest achievement has been neighbors and other dogs out and she looks, but didn't bark! We look forward to additional improvements as she continues to grow and know exactly where we will head if some of her nerves show up in other ways. Lauren and Lynette are a great combo who care about the dogs and your understanding as a handler, I'd recommend them to the moon and back!
