Our $249 Puppy Training essentials package covers all the puppy training basics with 12-weeks of Puppy Level 1 and Puppy Level 2 training. Alternatively, our 6-week long Puppy Level 1 and 2 classes can be bought individually for $149 each.

How much are adult dog training classes at Petco Derby?
Individual 6-week long classes are available at $149 each. Petco also offers several package options like our Dog Training Essentials package for $249 which consists of 12 weeks of classes. Complete Packages are also available for $379 which include three classes.

i took petco classes because my service dog in training was needing to work around other dogs. I decided to take a more structured approach and in the notes to the trainer stated that that is why we were taking the class and that i purposely signed up for an easier class so she would know what would be taught. i signed up for the 16-6m class and from the first class it got moved to the 6m+ class topics so i didnt have high hopes. when the trainer brought up teaching stay i reminded her that my dog is a service dog in training and i will be doing implied stays. the trainer had me have to show her what i was meaning by that first and then the trainer was not happy when i said i wasn’t teaching the word at all. the last class i attended before we left my dog had a reaction right at the beginning and i stated i would like to watch and have her observe this class knowing i would be missing out on a lesson i would be paying for and she said i either participate or leave. no good trainer would do that when your client states they want to work on their dog being neutral around other dogs from the very beginning.
now it’s been about a month since this and i have received text telling me they are excited about seeing for our next class. i never and will never sign up for another petco training class when i didn’t finish the first set of lessons. so why am i signed up for lessons again without this experience i wouldn’t just kept the people i knew away from petco training but because i now have to deal with getting out of another set of lessons i am leaving this review because petco trainers need far more training before they ever interact with clients or their dogs
