If you don’t know how to teach your dog basic obedience like sit & down, the classes may be helpful for you. But that’s the limit of the trainers’ expertise there. For specific concerns you want to address regarding your dog’s behavior, they’ll do nothing to help because they don’t have the knowledge to. They won’t admit it though - the trainer I talked to just convinced me to sign up for the beginner class and ‘learn from there’, and all I got was a person standing in front of the group reading out his handbook in every session.
