PetSmart Dog Training

If i could give zero stars I would. I will copy and paste my Public post i made on social media below about my shopping experience on 3-26-26. I just need to vent. So today Rain and Zia wanted to get some new fish. Nothing major but 2 feeder fish for their tank. They also needed filters and other aquarium supplies. They Sold small bags of Chips today after school going door to door to get the money they needed to buy these fish and supplies cause im trying to teach them about Raising and spending on things they want. So they raised $23 they both wanted a Lil commet goldfish which are feeder fish. They did their other chores and we left for PetSmart off Wheatland in Dallas because we knew they closed at 9pm. We arrive at 8:30pm and grab the couple supplies they needed ( 2 things ) and went to the live fish. There was no associate so I sent Rain to find someone. She came back and said the associate said they don't sell fish after 8:30pm. Its 8:34 and We had no way of knowing this. So I went to the register and stood in line. The same associate that told Rain no to the fish checked us out. We'll attempted to cause her scan gun wasn't working. I asked her when was the policy not to sell fish after 8:30 she said its a store by store thing and they have always done so at their location. I then said We had no way of knowing as its not listed on the website. I told her my girls just wanted 2 feeder fish. She said we can do feeders but they can not pick out the two they wanted. I said we'll they are not being fed to any fish they are going to a loving home to be raised and cared for like our other feeder fish which are now the size of our hands. I said as an animal lover would you not make an exception knowing they won't be eaten and she said we close in 15 minutes. I replied we sat here talking for for awhile you could have just went over and got them the two and said In the future this is our policy so I then would know to not expect fish after 8:30. I asked her if she was a manger and she said yes. I was shocked at the poor customer service especially when they were not busy and She would be going above and beyond for two little girls (ages 10 and 7) who were standing there and Rain had tears in her eyes. I asked who her boss was and she Said a guy named Cincinnati. She then asked if I still wanted the other items I said yes but not the fish because they truly wanted to pick their 2 and we would come back tomorrow. I asked her name but can not remember it now because it was Very unique and Im horrible with names but it started with an L, she was young wore glasses with dark hair. We paid and left both girls crying because they worked so hard and just wanted 2 fish. Two fish that cost .29 cents. What happened to people going above and beyond for others? In all my years of customer service I never would have let the opportunity go by to not just make someone happy especially if it was something so simple as to let two children pick one fish each. Anyways thats my Rant. Its minor and not that serious but wanted to speak about it. Do better Petsmart, you guys are always being drug for how poorly you treat the animals you sell and now you are treating people crappy too. A little kindness goes a long way. And before she tries to change the story cameras will show what happened. I was not loud or Rude in any way.
