Phillips Gun Dogs is the "ONLY" GSP breeder I will do business with. I met him at a hunt test near my home and he gave me all the time I needed to ask questions and I got a very good feeling about Chad and his positive approach to training. I was totally scared out of my mind with how I saw a few of the local breeders handle dogs. It was brutal and thoroughly disgusting! I knew I wouldn't let any of them touch any animal of mine. I bought one of Chad's pups. Yes, I had to wait several months for it but I knew I would be completely pleased. And I have been. "Jaxson" came home at 8 weeks of age and returned to Chad several weeks later for training. I received weekly progress updates and after 2 months Chad even brought my pup home to me, saving me 12 hrs of round trip driving. A few months later when hunting season opened, a 16 month old Jaxson, a solid liver male, went to work! Better than I ever could have dreamed. Chad is always willing to answer any question I have and he even took time out of his busy schedule to help my wife write a term paper for a college assignment...which she received a 4.0 on. Jaxson has been the perfect addition to my family. He is a hunting machine and the best loveable house pet I could've asked for. I couldn't imagine life without him. I'm trying to get my wife to let me get another pup and I will drive several hours, past many GSP breeders for another Phillips Gun Dog. I wouldn't consider anyone else's pups. You would be foolish to go anywhere else.

We had our Draht Jax train with Chad at PGD for 7 weeks and then a follow/brush up week a year later. I couldn't be more pleased with the results, as Jax stays on task when hunting 99% of the time and follows all commands Chad was good at communicating with us, as well as being very patient with our overprotective and sometimes crazy questions regarding Jax's daily schedule, where he would sleep and if he would get his coat brushed out. (Jax is also our family pet). He answered all our questions and was very reassuring through the training process. I would highly recommend sending your dog(s) to Phillips Gun Dogs for training.

We had a Brittany pup that was out of control. Chad was recommended to us by a friend. Chad explained he would need to have our pup for 4 weeks for training. We arranged a drop off date. When we dropped her off we had time to talk to Chad about the problems we were having with her and what we could expect when we picked her up. After the training period we picked her up and we didn't recognize her as our dog. She was quiet and attentive to us vs what she wanted. On pick up day Chad took as much time as needed to answer our questions about commands and how to keep instilling the commands Chad used in her training. I am a mom who worries about her fur babies, so chad had to balance my texts on how she was doing. I think Chad did an awesome job both in field training and dealing with an owner who worries about her dog. We acquired not too long after a GSP and didn't have a worry about Chad training her. Now the two work well together and have gotten brush up sessions to keep them on the top of there training to work together.
