Helen was amazing with Charlie, our 1-year old American Bully. Before Charlie was in her program, he was out of control and destroying everything he could get to. I was unfamiliar with the breed, and my husband was so frustrated with Charlie that my husband wanted to get rid of him - we were at a lost on what to do to correct Charlie's behavior. During Helen's 4-Week Off Leash Board & Train program, I could tell right away that Charlie was changing for the better. We learned so much from Helen and her program, and Charlie is like a new dog thanks to her. We are so glad we found Helen. She is very knowledgable, and very thorough in her instructions. I would definitely recommend her to anyone. She is an amazing dog trainer.

We adopted our pittie/boxer mix at 5 months old in March 2021. Needless to say she was a handful, but we could tell she was incredibly intelligent. We had challenges with zoomies, sharkies, and just general stubbornness and it was becoming exhausting and also evident that while I knew the basics of pup training, me and my husband needed some help. I came across Piper’s Place during my search and was very quickly drawn to her love and advocacy for the pitt bull breed. I gave her a call and I have never regretted it. She has helped us so much with our pup from training to understanding the phases she’s in (like the teenager phase). Our pup has come such an incredibly long way and we have Helen at Piper’s Place to thank for that. If you listen to her advice/direction, you will gain so much! I have gained a better understanding of my dog, what she needs (versus what I *think* she needs), abs most importantly a stronger bond. I cannot say enough about Helen and the work she does. She was one of the best decisions I have ever made.

We just got a rescue dog who was abandon and found wondering the streets. As expected she was very scared and didn’t trust us. I needed some help getting our dog to trust us. After a few weeks of training we finally have a dog that is no longer scared. She is happy, healthy and living the life she deserves. I have recommended this service to our neighbor who is currently having their puppy dog trained. Highly recommend. Reasonably priced. Professional service as well. Well worth it!

We use Helen for training our golden retriever puppy and walking both of our pups! Helen is so great with our girls and they love her so much! Helen treats them like they are her own and we couldn’t be more pleased with everything. Our golden retriever puppy went from good to great with Helen’s expertise and I can rely on her to love on our pups while we are at work! We’ve been lucky enough to have Helen at Piper’s Place training Lucy, our labradoodle, since she was a tiny puppy - every week. Helen helped us from the basic obedience work all the way up to advanced e-collar training and has us on the path to therapy dog certification. Not only are these weekly lessons an amazing experience for Lucy, Helen has trained me so much that I have the knowledge and confidence to reinforce the training all week between visits. Helen responds to texts during the week as issues arise or I need a new angle for a training block. She even uses her adorable and well-trained pup, Piper, to help with socialization and distraction training. Helen works with Lucy in our home, in public, and at my office and is always flexible with scheduling. I can’t recommend Piper’s Place highly enough - we look forward to having Helen as a part of Lucy and our journey for a long time!
