As a first time dog owner, I became quickly confused after researching training methods and approaches, which can vary dramatically. With a lovable and very active sighthound, I needed to learn how to control his often high energy and establish reliable recall methods, particularly outside. PlacidPaws came highly recommended by a colleague and I am very happy for the introduction. Aside from being extremely professional and well organized with a range of training options, Sunghee’s unique "relaxation-based” approach has been both fun and successful. While my pet will continue to be a work-in-progress, I have learned how to better manage his good & bad energies by understanding his emotions and reinforcing his positive behavior with calming and consistent responses. There’s a lot to learn but its been a win/win for us: happy owners and pet!

Harmony was restored to our home within 24 hours of our first home visit. Yes, you read that correctly, 24 hours! The technique, Training Between the Ears (TBTE), works in teaching your dog how to be calm. The standard training includes in-home custom visits as well as online access to live weekly classes, all training materials, and the ability to contact Sunghee with issues/questions whenever needed! It really is a wonderful set-up to learn TBTE and train your dog. On top of all of that, Sunghee is incredibly knowledgable. She has a Master's degree in Animal Behavior and is certified in TBTE. She cares about you and your dog and wants to see you all succeed! I truly enjoyed the entire training process because of Sunghee! We just can't stop raving about our experience with Placid Paws. Sunghee is worth every penny. You won't regret hiring her!

Sunghee has been such an amazing teacher for our puppy, Gio, and myself/my wife. We have learned so much in our time working with Sunghee, going from stressed out and exhausted from a wild pup to relaxed and understanding of what Gio's needs and behaviors are telling us.
