Platinum Dog Training

We highly recommend Michael and Platinum Dog Training! We rescued our dog Cookie from the ARL and were having troubles with her play biting too hard and getting aggressive towards us. She was sweet 90% of the time and very smart, but she did not know manners or when to stop. We did four lessons with Michael, and after the first lesson we started to see big improvements. She was learning her commands very well, and this lead to other bad behaviors going away gradually through more lessons. Michael’s training is clear and effective, especially with spending time not only training Cookie, but training us as well and how we can be good leaders for Cookie. His in-home lessons are very convenient and helpful in applying her commands to the environment she lives in. We also appreciate Michael’s communication before, after, and between lessons, and his willingness to help us for the remainder of Cookie’s life.

Platinum Dog Training has had such an impact on both my dog’s life and ours as dog owners. After our one-time training course with Michael, we saw our dog, Remi, improve in so many areas. Michael covered numerous commands for Remi as well as tips on behavioral concerns. He thoroughly explains why he trains dogs the way he does and how they interpret the things we do as humans that aren’t the most helpful to our fur babies :) You can tell right away when you meet Michael that he truly cares about bettering the lives of both dogs and their owners. You might come into training thinking, “There’s no way my dog can do that!” Prepare to be challenged in that belief. Remi no longer pulls while walking, places for extended periods, and follows commands quickly. Remi’s confidence improved rapidly as we began training after meeting with Michael. Michael is highly knowledgeable and focused on training us as dog owners instead of solely focusing on the dog. He offered constructive feedback and corrections as we introduced Remi and ourselves to training during the session. The work and time we put in with Remi after time our session has been more than worth it. There is a strong emphasis on building a relationship with your dog as this contributes to better confidence and skill. The communication was wonderful, too. Michael checked in with us after we had time to work with Remi to see if there was anything we needed. We believe Michael truly meets dogs where they’re at and helps equip owners with the skills needed to better their lives. Training is not only a financial investment, but a time investment. Both are worth it 110% because the results will be lifelong. We can’t wait to see where Remi continues to grow in her skills. We can’t thank Michael enough for sharing his knowledge of dog training and how to effectively train our dog on our own.

I can't say enough positive things about our experience with Platinum Dog Training. We were at our wit's end with our new Rottweiler and her behavioral and crate issues. We tried everything including a group training class somewhere else. It was evident that she needed some personal one on one training but I was not interested in sending her away to a training facility. I felt the best way to train her was in her own space at home. After talking on the phone with Michael about the issues we were having he gave us a plan of attack on how to fix these issues. Over the next 6 weeks we saw drastic improvements in her behavior and overall demeanor. I truly don't think anyone else could have done any better with her!

Our experience with Michael & Platinum Dog Training was amazing! I stumbled across a RAVE on a local rant and rave site and decided to take a chance. Our mini Aussie had developed the habit of barking nonstop at anyone who came to the door..even people he knew…so much so that we had to send him to his room to even let someone in the house. When he nipped at our grandson, I knew we needed help. That problem was solved within 2 sessions with Michael. Stewie was actually sitting quietly by Michael after about 1/2 hour of barking and uneasiness . Every lesson after that was just gravy … he learned so many important skills.. and was always eager to please. Michael is also very good at explaining what he’s doing and why… training the owner as much as the dog, maybe more !!! Stewie is now doing great when people come by or we have gatherings… its just a blessing! I can’t thank Michael enough for how much he’s done for Stewie and for us!! I would highly recommend him to help out with any problems that owners have with their dogs, or even just teach a dog new things and give them more confidence!!
