FirstBarkDid a 9 am private session with Kathy and it is 6 pm and Nova is already doing so well! I am writing this as she is in the middle of her first self soothed nap 🥰 The session was great, she was so thorough and helpful. My fiance was unable to make the session but has already noticed a difference. She was recommended by my vet and I am so happy we went with her!

We definitely plan on attending the next class in the series for further training. Highly recommend! Edit one year later: Just finished several private sessions with our new rescue dog Jenny. Kathy was wonderful. She had a solution to every question I asked on how to handle various training situations, and went above and beyond to be helpful. Definitely go with Polite Pooches!

We saw Kathy at Polite Pooches to get help with a fearful, anxious rescue pup, Jack. Our session was so helpful. She showed how someone new to Jack should begin to interact with him and gave us tasks to do with him to help make him less fearful. Also got suggestions for different aids to use for his anxiety and fear. She is a wealth of great information. Highly recommend as long as you're willing to continue to do the work at home.
We went for a consultation for our older lab, who never received prior training. He was friendly but lacked manors and impulse control. He's doing much better after the consultation and working with him. He enjoys doing more social things with us, now that his impulses to jump or pull have gotten a lot better.
Two of my dogs have undergone training at Polite Pooches . I am very pleased with the training that they recieved. Kathy noticed that Lilly appeared to be stressed in the presence of the other dogs, so we moved her to private training sessions and she is doing extremely well. Kathy is observant, analyitcal and professional with the dogs in her classes and provides excellent, individual feedback and suggestions. I highly reccomend Kathy and Polite Pooches
