Positive Response Dog Training

We sent our 2 1/2 yr old Boxer rescue for 2 week board and train. Prior to training she was anxious, barked a lot and was scared around strangers (men especially). The training we had done in the past wasn’t enough. After 2 weeks with Jim she came back as a sweet, well behaved, easy to manage dog! She is now awesome on leash walks, great on off leash hikes and doesn’t run at strangers at the door anymore. She will even stay on her place when needed. What a difference my Dobies have become thanks to Jim from Positive Response Dog Training. I own a male 112 lbs 18 months old and his sister 86 lbs 11 months old from same parents. Our Dobies are a new breed to us although we have family and experience from the outside of them. When Jim first came to my home, even before we shook hands he was working, studying me and my dogs. After going over our bucket list of things we wanted to perfect, we went to work. With only three sessions and a LOT of off training practice, we now have two of the greatest dogs we have ever owned. We reached out to Jim because our puppy was barking and lunging at every dog and person she saw. We couldn’t do anything to break her focus and stop this behavior. By the end of our last session, she was listening to us telling her to “stay” and “come,” even while she was off-leash with Jim’s dog nearby. We are able to walk her without the fear of an unwanted behavior, and we are confident that we know what to do moving forward, so that we can continue to reinforce everything she has learned.
