I can't even begin to express how wonderful working with Jess is! Walking my reactive dog after she had been attacked was a nightmare until we started working with Positivity Dog Training. Now, my dog can easily walk past people, other dogs, bunnies — you name it! She even made a new friend this week, something I thought wouldn't be possible for her again. Especially if you have a fearful or anxious dog, Jess is ABSOLUTELY the person for you. She is so knowledgable, kind, and patient. I can't recommend her enough!

We have a cat, Asher, that’s never been around dogs and was very fearful, and a deaf high energy dog, Lily, with no previous training. We started working with Jessica after Lily’s basic training. She came to our home for 4 visits over a few months to work on behaviors with both pets. As a behaviorist, she understood the psychology behind their behaviors, so we were able to work with them both, increasing their comfort zones little by little. We’d do our “homework” between visits and schedule another when we’d made good progress. Asher had gone into hiding upstairs for the first few months, and now he hangs out with all of us, including Lily, on the main floor. We are thrilled with their progress and so grateful to Jessica!

Jess is very knowledgeable about diverse dog behaviors, and very understanding with animals that need special attention. We adopted out girl when she was 5 yrs, and have been in communications with Jess regarding her severe anxiety and fear based aggression. It’s taken her a year to be comfortable and situated on her medications, where we felt she would be ready to start a basic obedience class for confidence building. She did do very well given her circumstances and Jess knew exactly where keep our expectations for her. Her first class her tail was tucked, high alert, and not very receptive to treats. Where her last class she ran in very excited to say hi to Ms Jess! She graduated this past weekend and we are very excited for her next journey. These classes are a terrific value for your money, Jess is such a special human being with an outstanding understanding of canine behaviors. She gave so many helpful suggestions for different training tools and alternatives to certain medications that have worked. She is also very considerate and communicative with class rescheduling. Our 5 week course had a holiday, and she reached out to every one of her students’ pawrents to schedule accordingly. These classes aren’t just for your average puppy obedience but for all dogs no matter what training level or age. I also feel as though I can go to her with any kind of issues or hiccups we face in the future and she would give suggestions and helpful tips and tricks, she created a very helpful and friendly environment with no shame or guilt whatsoever. Absolutely blown away!
