Powers K9 Dog Training

We had an introductory session with this trainer to see if he would be a good fit for our dogs. He was friendly and personable, but unfortunately, a significant portion of the session was spent talking about unrelated topics rather than actually working with or training our dogs. More concerning to us were several comments during the conversation that came across as racial microaggressions and made us uncomfortable. At one point, he made a remark involving “picking cotton.” Regardless of how it was intended, it was an inappropriate and uncomfortable comment to hear in a professional interaction. We were genuinely looking for someone to help us with our dogs, but between the limited amount of actual training during the session and the uncomfortable commentary, we ultimately decided not to move forward with his services.

David is really good with dogs. I was absolutely impressed as an owner of multiple breeds big and small. He always had full command of the dogs and taught us how to have the same. It’s a work in progress but with his help, you have the tools you need. He even was kind enough to return the following weekend due to rain cutting our session short. Just wait, he went even further. When he retuned, he allowed my wife and kids and even our yappin little dog Larry to get involved. Results were great! He had Larry sitting and Daisy. (Larry is dysfunctional and doesn’t sit). He sits now!!! Thank you Powers K9!!!

David is an absolute wonder. My sweet service dog had issues with distraction and maintaining commands until released. David was absolutely incredible with her. It was an honor to watch amd learn from a master at work. She listens perfectly now and I am so much more confident in bringing her places with me. He really helped me with the commands and learing why she was doing what she was doing. Our short training session helped manage my anxiety with her obedience and her anxiety with my lack of leadership and direction. Now we are the perfect team. Thank you David. You really changed our lives for the better.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We are beyond grateful for David at Powers K-9! In just 90 minutes, he completely transformed not only our dogs but our whole family. He trained my husband, our 6-year-old daughter, and me right alongside our pups—Dozer (3-year-old Boxer), Daisy (2-year-old SGP), and Mamba (5-month-old Cane Corso). The results left us in shock. Our dogs are obedient, calm, and responsive, and we as owners now feel confident and in control. The way David explained and demonstrated everything made training simple, effective, and empowering. Powers is truly Powerful ❣️ We can’t recommend David enough!
