Praeceptor K9

As a prior client with Patriot K-nine who is now dba Praeceptor I highly recommend people do their own research, especially before spending a small fortune on training with this establishment. I put my GSD in training with Patriot and within a month my trainer left Patriot, and I was left with the decision to either continue training with a new trainer or follow the trainer my GSD was assigned. The trainer my GSD had grown an attachment to because my GSD worked with her trainer 5 days a week for 8 hours a day. I lost my “satisfaction guarantee” and other “benefits” “promised” in my contract because I chose to do what I thought was in the best interest of my 1 year old GSD. The drama that was happening within Patriot K-nine, because Amber , the owner allowed one of her personal dogs access to another dog (Loki) that Amber was boarding and training in her home. Due to Amber’s negligence and inability to recall her personal dog (which a qualified dog trainer should be able to recall their own dog at least), Loki was mauled and would succumb to the injuries from that attack and passed away a few days later. My trainer that I followed so my GSD could continue her training, because again, remember, my trainer left Patriot due to not only this event but other mishandlings within the company by Amber (who is still a Co owner of Praeceptor K9) along with most of the other trainers on staff , including the Sr Trainer who had been there for over 10 years!! When I say, do your research I mean it in the most sincere way. This company is not your only option for quality dog training, or boarding!! I used to recommend Patriot K-nine , now dba Praeceptor K9 . However after doing research and the quality of training I received for my GSD I give this company a 1 star. If I could give it it 0 I would. Think of your fur baby and their safety!!

So where do I start. First off I wish the launch of Praeceptor K9 nothing but success. I have been a client of the predicessor Patriot KNine since 2019. My family currently has 4 dogs that have all gone through lots of training from puppy jumpstart, basic and advance obedience to service dog training. They have always cared for our dogs extremely well, they’ve always kept us updated with text messages, videos and pictures of our dogs during training and boarding. We even recently boarded our pack for our family vacation. Our Service dog even received her AKC CGC certification. I can’t say enough good things about the owner and staff. Now I don’t know the new partners very well but I still trust them 100%. My family travels and continue will travel 4 hours to bring our pack here for training and will continue to.

Congratulations on your new journey Praeceptor K9.. As a client of the prior company.. I have personally only experienced exceptional work with all my furkids. Ms. Amber has taken wonderful care in training with all my furry kids. I am so very confident that Praeceptor K9 will continue in the confident way that my furkids have gotten accustomed to being loved, spoiled & trained.. My best part is.. also training the owners for at times I have slided.. Thank you and will be seeing you soon again. My fur family needs it but mostly so do I..
