Precision K9 Work - Austin Dog Training

I took my 2 year old Rottie to Jake for obedience training. I quickly learned my Rottie, although extremely hard headed, was willing to work. It was me who needed most of the training. Jake showed us how to work together with both a pinch collar and an E-collar. When Jake took the leash to demonstrate he could make my dog look like a pro. However what I truly appreciated was his ability to teach me how to do the same. Having just completely the first package of classes my boy is much more responsive to commands and I see nothing but positive progress in our future. Even though we had a good bond already the bond between me and my Rottie has only grown thru this process. I enjoy working with Kado everyday and love seeing the results. I reached out to precision K9 to get some help cleaning up my pups “non existent obedience” in hopes one day I could trust my boxer off leash. Only 3 lessons later, all the basics are down (and a few other tricks the kids were hoping to see) the whole staff is amazing and helpful. They did not try to push products or tools, in fact they were very willing to work with me with my previous collar. Or let me know websites/brands that were both quality and cost effective. Group classes have also now given me confidence my little boxer pup will be off leash ready and a lot sooner then expected. With everything going on in the world. I expected scheduling to be a nightmare. It was always so easy to reach out to them (text or call) and reschedule an appointment even same day! Every expectation I had was exceeded and my only complaint is I wish I spoke with Precision K9 sooner. Anything from family pet to working dog or just guidance with issues or bad doggy habits give them a call!!!!

What I learned from this experience is that with a e-collar you can do wonders to the most stubborn dog, also that is easier to train new behaviors without the e collar and then reinforce them with it if it is necessary, and I learned that train a dog that is above 1 year old make more sense than try to train a puppy that is new to anything and gets excited/ reactive/ fearful about anything. I did the whole package and in reality I only went to the 1x1 trainings and It wasn’t pleasant for my dog or myself, later my dog didn’t want to go there at all, so the group thing we’re not as productive as I thought. My advice is if you have a poppy younger than 1 year old, don’t do the e collar just yet, try positive reinforcement, and don’t break the bond with your dog in an hour only because cost you more than $100.00 means will work. YouTube can teach you all about of e collars for free. The dogs used for the examples received diferente training is not all the e-collar, is time, patients and a lot of consistency. Know that dog training is all about you, understanding how your dog think and reacts, and you knowing how to use this info. If you get to know your dog and gain their trust magically your dog turns the best dog but only coz you also turn in the best trainer. Consistency make the magic.
